I made an appointment today for 4:45. Two of the receptionists told me this appointment was available. We drove 45 minutes to get to this appointment. When we arrived we were told we did not have an appointment. We were not even offered to wait to see a veterinarian. We were just told there was no appointment. I will never use this veterinary office. Very poor service.

Business response:

Patty, we are truly sorry to hear you had a negative experience with us and appreciate you taking the time to chat in more detail. Our number one goal is to offer exceptional care and service, so please know we take this feedback seriously. We have shared your comments internally and will be working hard to ensure that this doesn't happen again in the future..

This establishment worries more about their personal needs and wants versus your pets needs and their employees needs. Very high turnover rate, expensive services that are not justifiable by the price, and awful management. Very unhappy clients and staff.

Business response:

Jordy, we are sorry to hear you feel this way. Our team takes great pride in the service we offer all our patients, clients and staff. For several very specific reasons, you are not a client or teammate of ours. We agree that this was in our mutual best interest. Intentionally misrepresenting the events described serves no purpose as our professional relationship has been terminated. If you would like to discuss anything further, please feel free to give us a call. We wish you the best

I am an evacuee from Wilmington and ran out of puppy food for my sick 10-year-old puppy! I came in asking to buy one can of food and was denied told I had to have an exam to buy one can of food! I’m low on funds and low on spirit and this has deflated me even more!! I was happy to have our vet fax up her script but the lady at the front desk didn’t even give me the time of day! I can’t afford to pay for an entire vet visit so I can get ONE can of Science prescriptions of food!! I don’t not recommend this place y’all! I’m hea... read more

Business response:

Kendra, I am very sorry for your frustration during evacuation from Florence. Our hearts are truly with you and yours. I appreciate you taking time to let us know about your experience. Perhaps this information will be helpful as an explanation for the way our client service team responded to your request. North Carolina's veterinary board considers prescription foods to be in the same category as pharmaceutical prescriptions. It is our understanding that this means we are expected to have a valid doctor-client-patient... read more

I got a PAW plan for my kitten here. They charged me for office "visits" that I did not have, and were apparently not included. When I took my cat to get spayed, she got deathly sick, so I took her in again. The front desk lady rolled her eyes and told me I was overreacting. The doctor took her temperature and she DID have a very high fever. But the dr insisted that her getting sick 3 DAYS after the surgery had nothing to do with the surgery itself, and blamed it on me somehow. The cat has never been sick in her life, yet th... read more

My Pitbull was in a lot of pain, with a swollen leg and 103 degree fever, they wanted to run tests on the day i got paid. They gave me some anti-inflamatory samples and sent me on my way. I took him to a Veterinarian in Mountain City and found out it was a snake bite. He is on a full round of antibiotics, his fever has broke, and his leg is draining all the infection. Nice people at New River, but shouldn't the focus be on the dog in pain, not when I can pay the bill. I have spent over $1500 on one dog i brought there that t... read more

They only care about their own bank account. I am in town for longer than expected due to a medical issue in my family and ran out of my dog's prescription dog food. This was the third vet I went to in order to buy his food. The other two offered to order it for me with a faxed prescription from my vet at home, but did not carry it. This vet had the food on the shelf, but refused to sell it to me without examining my dog first. Why on earth I would choose to purchase this very expensive food if he didn't need it? I und... read more
