I first looked at Arbor Terrace Hamilton Mill back in 2016 and I loved it and was eager for my parents to move in. Unfortunately they did not have independent living at the time and they were not ready for assisted living. Once we got everything figured out and they offered independent living, we knew this was the place. Everyone is very personable, helpful, and they are on top of any issues if things comes up. We had a really great tour experience with Arbor Terrace and liked what we saw and what they offered. For us, it just came down to the location.
Arbor Terrace knows how to handle individuals who have some memory loss. When they did the assessment they saw that and let us know that all of their staff are trained properly. When we toured with them, they were not trying to sell the facility itself, they actually seemed to care more about the individual and what they need. They have activities going all the time, they are always keep her busy. I have seen some of the food she gets and it does not look great, she is not a picky eater and she barely eats. The tour was good and the community is great with a lot of friendly people. Overall, it just boiled down to the location, as it was not close enough to the medical road. I would have also been further from family.

The staff is all very attentive, cheerful, and helpful. The facility is beautiful and always clean. Mom has made so many friends and she loves her apartment.

It would be okay if it was right for you and your age. Most of the residents were more immobile and negative. The food was good, and the breakfast were very good. The dinner and lunches were good and you always have an option of soup and salad. The food was served nicely. They even had china plates and goblets. This was a newer community and high-end rooms available for the residents.
