They have done very well - I would highly recommend it. It's a very good place for somebody who needs help. Sometimes the language barrier with the caregivers is a little tough (for someone of my age to hear and understand), but they're very willing to help. And overall I would recommend Arbor Terrace.

The food is okay. We picked this community, because it was better suited for my loved one, it's quieter, and it was more age appropriate. It's a very safe location and it's super clean. The dining room area lost the chef, and sometimes it's too much salt on the food. Sometimes everything offered on the menu, is often not available for the residents. I would recommend to other families. It's a nice place, and they take really good care of the community.

Was a very welcoming tour, very clean and inviting. In the end we chose one that was a better fit for our family.

I would recommend you check in to the community and see if it would be the right fit for your loved one. It is a really nice community. They have a lot of activities for the residents to choose from to participate in. They have celebrations, outings, games, and more as some activities available. My loved one is really enjoying breakfast. If the resident doesn't feel like eating in the dining room, they can call down and have the meal ready to be picked up for to go to eat in their room. I first looked at Arbor Terrace Hamilton Mill back in 2016 and I loved it and was eager for my parents to move in. Unfortunately they did not have independent living at the time and they were not ready for assisted living. Once we got everything figured out and they offered independent living, we knew this was the place. Everyone is very personable, helpful, and they are on top of any issues if things comes up. We had a really great tour experience with Arbor Terrace and liked what we saw and what they offered. For us, it just came down to the location.

Arbor Terrace knows how to handle individuals who have some memory loss. When they did the assessment they saw that and let us know that all of their staff are trained properly. When we toured with them, they were not trying to sell the facility itself, they actually seemed to care more about the individual and what they need. The tour was good and the community is great with a lot of friendly people. Overall, it just boiled down to the location, as it was not close enough to the medical road. I would have also been further from family.
