Is there a minus 5? Terrible experience and I have moved my Dad out. They were dishonest up front about cost, moved him twice, food was terrible, another resident was stealing from him and they refused to address it, slow to respond to residents in distress, the entire Bridges wing always smelled strongly of urine. It was horrible.

The only thing great about that facility is [name removed], the director. Food..... 4 Everything else would rate a 2 or 3. As you can tell we did not have a good experience. No caring/ compassion or patience from most of caregivers including director of memory care. We terminated after my husband was in their care for a week then to the hospital for 10 days then rehab. Can not recommend this facility to anyone that wants their loved one to be in a caring environment.

The dining room is the biggest issue. They use way too much salt. They don't work with any special diets . I highly recommend Arbor Terrace, but the dining just needs to be more flexible to accommodate special needs that seniors often have. It's a super nice place, and extremely safe. That was a high priority for me given the locations of many other facilities in the area.

Many of the staff were friendly, but my mother is definitely a more difficult person with dementia to deal with and some staff seemed afraid of her and others seemed to almost antagonize her. They didn't seem familiar with dealing with behaviors common to many dementia patients. When my mother would try to take a phone to call 911 to complain that people were stealing her things, staff would try to grab the phone from her and tell her that she couldn't use the phone. For me the tour gets a 2 because it was not going to work out for my needs. There are cottages for independent living but they are far away from everything. You have to drive to go eat, to go to activities, etc. It is just far away from everything. They also did not have a lot of handicap parking spaces available.

My mother moved in less than a month ago and eats peanut butter and crackers because the food is terrible Arbor has always been known for good food something’s wrong they don’t even offer what she orders and substitute because they ran out this is unheard of
Rug pulled from under us We were all set to move in, had two assessments done, picked out a room and at the last minute, the said they couldn't take my parent. We were devastated and left to scramble for other arrangements. It took forever to convince my mother to move and then they pulled the rug from under us with barely and apology.
