I like the people of course ....the food could improve though. I would recommend this community to others
I loved the way this facility was centralized around a main core and the multitude of opportunities to be involved and active. The staff that I met seemed to really care. I appreciated the fact that the director knew everyone’s name and interacted with them as they passed.
My loved one seems to like living there & everyone is very friendly. Things that could be addressed: tons of activities scheduled that don't actually take place. Food is pretty good but service is disorganized.
care outside of facility (VA and private care givers). some of the staff are great! charged to pickup food from the kitchen 5 dollars, if I pickup the meal myself, what am I charged, very rare that I eat in the dining room due to medical and caregiver appointments.
Asher Point was a good place for my mother. She always felt safe there. Staff and residents were friendly and welcoming. One suggestion for change would be: Meal plans - have a variety of meal plans available at a reduced price (I.e. dinner only) Only complaints about staff: Staff - do what you say you're going to do. Don't say you're going to do it if you don't have time or if you think it's unwarranted. Just say no. The price bothers me the most everything else is fine. Their a caring people and I haven't seen one person that works here that I didn't like.
I absolutely adore Asher Point, it’s the perfect place for my mom. We toured several facilities but fell in love with AP the second we walked in. The staff is absolutely incredible, they go above and beyond and are so patient!
It was a great value and very nice staff. I felt very confident that he would be safe and taken care of. Dad was proud of his new home. I would recommend this facility to family and friends! The only issue I had was Dad died on [date removed] after being the hospital 4 days. They wanted me to pay all of August rent because he didn't give a 30 day notice???? I offered to pay for the week it took to remove his stuff. After months of calls, and collecting letters, we settled his account.
My Husband and I recently decided we wanted to change our lifestyle and take it easy l called A PLACE FOR MOM I got calls from representatives of several independent living communities. The first I called was Asher Point. The family met and toured the apartments that were available. The residents and employees were very friendly and the facility was clean and welcoming. After our tour we agreed we had found a place for Mom and Dad.
