Get directionsMy mother moved from another facility in Austin. The other facility was more expensive & offered less care, attention, lack of communication & I got the feeling she was not given the support she needed or deserved at their price level. Great move for my mother. It has only been 1 month but I honestly can say, I only wish we had moved her to begin with to the Holiday Renaissance. Just far it has been a great stress relief for me (son). The staff has given me every assurance in terms of communication, steps they take, their ac... read more
The kitchen staff and housekeeping staff are friendly. I've not had much interaction with the other staff members. I know their front desk person left and nobody knows why. It is still the right place for my brother to be.
The dining room servers and housekeepers are wonderful, hard working and caring people. The management, on the other hand, will tell you what you want to. It's a good place for the money we are paying. They need a chef that cooks food for the elderly. We picked this community because of the price. It was all we could afford.
The Holiday Renaissance- Austin community is trying to improve generally. Meals are inconsistent; good sometimes, poor other times. They could use more Activity Director led activities, rather than relying on residents to fill the gap.
The Holiday Renaissance was also nice but it is geared more toward independent living. Their assisted living section is small (33 residents) and separate from the independent living area so it seemed like there were fewer facilities available to the assisted living residents. But otherwise it was very nice. Unfortunately my mother requires a higher level of care than they were able to offer and they were very kind and upfront about that when they met her.

What we really like most about Holiday Renaissance - Austin is the people working there, they are super nice and very helpful. The community is also very clean. Based on the experience so far we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

My loved one is a resident at Holiday Renaissance- Austin. It was a little bit slow with the communication getting started, but they have picked up the pace a little bit. He has been there for a little over two months and has only seen housekeeping one time. Not sure what they are supposed to be providing him. Overall, I would recommend this facility to others. The one thing that helped us make our decision in choosing this facility was we talked to people in the dining hall when we toured. Everyone that we talked to enjoyed... read more
Our family had an in person tour and we loved the level of independence that they gave their clients, but it wouldn't have worked in our particular situation.
