Get directionsThe place is very unique. Most places are built like a high rise with small courtyard. This place has gorgeous and huge interior courtyard. Great walking trail and shaded. Half of the apartments face it. A true hidden gem that really makes a home feel. Long wide hallways that wrap around it. Not on a busy road so very quiet and peaceful yet close to all grocery-shopping etc... you might need. The director [name removed] and assistant director [name removed] are smart, kind and responsive. And the residents are truly happy th... read more
I toured Holiday Renaissance; we went twice and I liked it because it was super close to where I live. I wanted to like it more, but it is older, kind of dirty and had a real small dining room. The second time I went with my husband; we had a tour and ate a meal. The initial person who gave our first tour had just started working there, but she was already gone and no longer working at the community. The person who gave our second tour never stopped talking. Mom was reluctant to go at first. She did not want to leave her home of over 30 years. Within one week at Holiday Renaissance-Austin, she was completely transformed: she loved it. She was socializing, eating better, making so many crafts, and making good friends. She recently passed away, and she told me she wanted to die in her home at the Renaissance. The director is one of the most patient, compassionate and caring folks that I have met. She really made the difference for me when deciding.
We toured Holiday Renaissance - Austin, and it was a very very nice place. Although we had a great tour experience and first impression; we chose another community because Holiday did not fit into our budget.
The tour at this community was really good and the community did a good job showing us around and giving us the information that I needed.
We toured Renaissance- Austin and had a great tour experience and first impression. We chose another community because Renaissance was located too far away.
Overall it's been a good experience. My parents kind of keep to their own, so they weren't really looking for and don't participate in the activities. But the apartment itself is very nice and sufficient. And the people are nice.
Renaissance-Austin was not a good option for my loved one with mobility issues. There were a lot of levels, ramps, and stairs. Even their roll in showers had ramps built up and over the step in. So it would have been very difficult for her to be in that shower.

The activities manager left so at this time the activities have settled some. I would highly recommend this community. It is costly however it is a great community for your loved one. The staff are really good.
