I went in for a routine cleaning and the hygienist broke my tooth. The dentist then only prescribed me meds (after waiting 3 hours to see him). I was seen the next day for a root canal, boy was I in pain! The medication didn't keep my mouth numb, so he had to keep giving me shots which were painful and it took him twice as long as he said it would. Not impressed. I went in to get a crown priced as my insurance would not pay for it. The first price I got was Way higher than the other dentist I went to. The second price was the same. Along with other things.
Recently went to Aspen Dental in Marquette for a spot on a tooth. After being examined I was informed the tooth needed a crown. Also had other teeth which needed fillings. The cost of the crown was to be $1600. Not feeling comfortable with this I got a second opinion. The Dental assistant looked at the tooth in question. After about a minute she said the spot is gone. It was a build up of calcium. Total cost $25. Guess I don't really need all this dental work after all.
I was told I had 13 cavities. Then I got 2 other opinions from 2 other dentists and I had NO cavities!! They are lying to people to make money!
