They were understaffed but a few staff members were very attentive and understood the needs of seniors. Since the nursing staff was inadequate, hospice nurse was brought in to provide services. I wish we had known sooner about hospice support for people with dementia.
5 for all categories. What we like the most about Azalea Trails is the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the community. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families, without, question!

The transition to memory care had some high and low points. Staff were friendly and listened to our concerns but staff did not appear to have additional training or information from administration about my mom’s specific needs. My mom has many challenges and staff are learning how to help her the best they can. Clothing and items have been misplaced therefore we have learned not to provide things that are costly. The nurse communicates frequently with family making us aware of challenges and mishaps.

The facility is super nice. The rooms are just the right size for what we needed. All of the staff has been wonderful with my Dad as well as the other residents. We are very pleased.

It's a very nice place..Care for the residents are very good. My only comment is my parents didn't have a welcoming as promised..we dealt with [name removed] and she is no longer there..They did not get a tour or understand some of the activities. And when the bus took them places...other than that, it was no issues.

The Azalea community is very open , accessible and friendly. Always have someone available on short notice if a need arises. Staff turnover can be difficult for those in memory care , but the current staff seems very competent and motivated to improve the lives of the residents.

We loved them. But too expensive. Dad got sick and they increased his care to over [name removed] a month. That is too much for average person an should not be allowed. Increased price on us. Not acceptable. We really liked azalea trails at first. But they just kept uping our level of care. I would definitely choose a place with one price for all levels

I would highly recommend Azalea Trails Assisted Living and Memory Care to others. This is a hard process to go through. They were more than patient and accommodating with our issues as they came up. My parents love the food. It's served by a great group of sweet women who seem to care. So far, communication with the family has been minimal. I guess they are handling the little issues that come up and will contact us if they become bigger issues. My parents are very social.
