The food was excellent. The staff asked us if we were there for a special occasion and followed up with a wonderful card, and a special after dinner dessert. We had a wonderful time.
We went to Bacchus for my parent's anniversary. The service and food was fantastic as always. Our wait staff of Danielle and Dan were so attentive. They really went out of their way to make it a special dinner.
Professionall wait staff, but service was a little slow. Food was very very good, but entree portions were small. However, at an upscale establishment that is OK with us. Many other diners were very casually dressed, which makes it more welcoming for some, but maybe disappointing for others if out for a special occasion. One of the best wine lists in the region. Valet parking appreciated as street parking is limited. Have dined here before and will again.
As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. Our dining experience at Baccus was outstanding. The food was excellent, again. My wife and I always take our family and friends to a Bartolotta Restaurant for special occasions.

My wife and I were there to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary, the staff was great from the hostess to the wait staff. Being from out of town they were helpful and surprised us with a card and dessert. I would come back and recommend to friends and family!
I can think of only one restaurant in Milwaukee where the chef is more creative, but that restaurant does not have the wait staff, ambiance or overall quality of Bacchus. This restaurant rivals all I have been to in New York, Chicago, Cleveland or San Francisco. We have decided that we are going to try to dine at Bacchus once a month. The food/service is always great and people are so friendly. We had two wait staffers named Dan and Dan. Great combination of talent.
Embracing a warm evening overlooking the lake with the surprise of Summerfest fireworks, the standout alone were the entrees. The filet mignon was to perfection as well as the braised beef short ribs. The spinach salad was superb with a poached egg and several pork bellies. Capped off the night with a latte and Russian tea.
