Definitely a special occasion resturant given the price and great ambience; however unfortunately the food and the service did not warrant the price. Great potential to be a favorite place -- arrogant server and less than impressive food resulted in us feeling like we wouldn't rush back.
This is a great restaurant with a great view. Sit in the atrium and enjoy the view. Very quiet and the food was very good. Nice wine list. A little on the pricey side but worth the price.
We received warm greetings beginning with the valet. The Maitre d was very accommodating noting that we were wearing all black he changed our white linen napkins to black as not to get any lint on our clothing. Never had that done before. All in all a great experience.
We are repeat customers to this restaurant. We have always had great food and excellent service. A great place to have that special occasion at.
The service was outstanding, very friendly, knowlwdgable and attentative staff. The food was excellant and the presentation and portion size perfect. This is a Milwaukee gem. Will recommend Bacchus to others.
Steak was overcooked (ordered medium rare and got medium well!). Service was good, but it was very slow. We were there for over 2 hours.
This was our third or fourth visit to Bacchus and there has never been a disappointment. This time we were seated in the solarium and, since it was early, we could watch the sailboats on the lake. The food was all it could be. Mary Jo wants the beet salad recipe and there were plenty of options for Leslie, who doesn't care for red meat much (she had scallops with risotto). Bacchus is one of the finest restaurants in Milwaukee. A beautiful, warm and elegant eating place with food to die for and attentive, friendly service second to none. On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, the solarium is a glorious place to take in views of the park and lake while you soak in the sun and enjoy some of the best food and service Milwaukee (or any other city) has to offer.
Bacchus - as always is fantastic. One of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee. The food and atmosphere are second to none. Bacchus is always my go-to restaurant to celebrate a special occasion.
