I would like to say our wait staff was excellent. "John" and his partner took very great care of us, and we felt very welcome. The food could have used the same care! My staek from the (3) course Valentine Plan was "tough", and contained an extraordinary amount of fat. I could only finish about half of the steak. The shrimp cocktail was great, and the dessert helped end a disappointing meal. Our wait staff did suggest an excellent bottle of wine.....
We went for our Valentine's Day dinner and the food was fine and everything, but I still don't know if I would go back there again. I've never had so many problems with service-I realize it was "Valentines Day," but you would think an established restaurant is prepared for busy nights. We had a reservation, but were told it would be about ten minutes. It was 35 minutes before we were seated. No acknowledgement from the hostess during the time, or when she finally retrieved us. Food was terrific, service was very attentive, atmosphere was upscale - a fabulous dining experience.
Beautiful restaurant on the shores of Lake Michigan. I will definitely be attending again sometime in the future.
The food and the service were wonderful. The filet and the short ribs were both prepared perfectly and very flavorful. The crab cakes were good, but the Amish gorgonzola salad was the best. Dessert of cookies and cream was average. The restaurant is beautiful, simple and clean design. Staff was very attentive and very good. Ambiance was lacking though! Tables for 2 were placed VERY close together, making us feel as if we were a party of 6 rather than a party of 2. We were entirely too close to have a private dinner.
Overall very good experience. Food was very good and portions were right size. We had a pre-teen dining with us and the waitstaff made him feel important and part of the grown-up evening. Highly recommend the restaurant for anyone looking for an elegant night on the town.
Service was divine. It was my husband's birthday and they treated us so well. They really helped make the occasion extra special!
This is our 4th time dining at Bacchus. As always the service and food was outstanding. This was our first "Winter" visit and we were impressed with the menu selections. During this visit, we were a party of 10. The location accommodated our group with ease.
Great atmosphere and service, however, other Bartolotta Restaurants (Ristorante Bartolatta, Lake Park Bistro) are clearly superior in menu selection and food quality. Ribeye was quite dry and disappointing.
