We had an amazing meal at Bacchus. I had never been there before and was pleasantly surprised. Each course was better than the next. Their pairings and preparations were inventive and unlike anything I've had in Milwaukee. Our waitstaff was incredible, especially Diana. It is my new favorite restaurant...beating out my old favorite Lake Park Bistro which is owned by the same people. If you haven't tried Bacchus I highly recommend that you do.
Great dinner experience. We had the chefs sampler dinner with wine.(great value) The wine was perfectly matched to each serving. The volume was pleasing to me as I don't like to drink excessively. The veal strauss could not have been cooked any better.I could have eaten a whole plate of the chutney that accompanies it. The ravioli apetizer was excellent as well.(smooth and not dry) For dessert we had blueberry sorbet (tasty) with fruits. Great balance to the rest of the meal.Service was attentive and pleasant.
The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I had the veal ravioli and it was "melt in your mouth" good!
Very enjoyable dining experience. Friendly attentive service. Creative menu choices. Everything was beautifully prepared.
Our dining experience was wonderful. We had a soup course (corn and asparagus), middle course (crab cakes and veal ravioli), entree (filet mignon), and dessert (toffee blondie and peaches and berries) and all were superb. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and eat here again.
Attentive and friendly service! Bacchus made a special occasion very special.
We recently went for our 3rd Anniversary. We had a great meal from Appetizer (Scallops) through dessert (Molten Chocolate Hazelnut Cake). For entrees we had the Halibut and the Braised Short Rib, both were terrific. We also tried the Asparagus soup which was great and the Beet Salad which was good. I'm not a big fan of team service, you lose the intimacy of one on one service but otherwise everything was very good. We'll definitely return.
Bacchus continues to be among Milwaukee's finest restaurants. The elegant setting befits the fine, classic menu done with imaginative turns. You will find great seafood, steak, and vegetable dishes here that reflect a continental palate, fresh ingredients, and an avoidance of gimmicks. Which is not to say it's boring, but quite the contrary. If the weather's nice, sit in the glass conservatory overlooking Lake Michigan. And ask about the special martinis and margaritas.
We selected Bacchus as the place to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. Bacchus made it very special for us. Besides their usual outstanding food and service, they surprised us with wonderful complimentary deserts in celebration of our anniversary. Not only were the deserts superb, but one was served on a china plate on which "Happy 44th Anniversary" was written in chocolate...then the plate had been frozen. It was beautiful! The waitstaff were everything one would expect at a world class restaurant. We also enjoy Bartol... read more
