This dining establishment, one of several owned and operated by Joe Bartolotta, is one of our favorites. It provides consistent excellence in cusine, atmosphere and service. And, just when you think that excellence can not be surpassed, they surpass the excellent standards they consistently meet. You must try Vanda Brown's Sticky Toffee Pudding. It is to die for!!! Kudos to Mr. Bartolotta, the General Manager, Mr. Ted Anderson, the Chef, and the staff.
Very comfortable and great service. Great wine list, but prices are a bit high.
The food was simply outstanding. The atmosphere near perfect. My out of town guests from Illinois were quite impressed. Mission accomplished.
In our opinon this is by far the best of the Bartolotta restaurants. We have not cared for the others as to food, ambiance and especially high noise levels. Our service (by Cassidy) at Bacchus was absolutly excellent. Even though we brought our own wine for us and our friends her wine service was first class. All of our entries were also wonderful. This is the first restaurant we have found that comes close to the Grenidiar's when Knut Apits operated it. WE WILL BE BACK! Jim and Mary Ann Arter
Bacchus is an outstanding dinning venue. Can't go wrong.........
Bacchus is a beautiful restaurant, perhaps the most beautiful in Milwaukee. The food and service are consistently excellent.
Friendly, helpful and professional service from the moment from the valet, the host/hostess and the servers. The food is delicous food and the presentation beautiful. The decor is reminiscent of New York City restaurants - sophisticated and lovely. The servers (our Team was #3) were friendly, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. And, it is always a pleasure being greeted by Ted Anderson. Wonderful dining experience! Look forward to the next visit.
The Bartolottas are known for fine food, and Bacchus is no exception. Excellent food and excellent service. My only negative, other than being pricey, is I would like more variety on the menu. However, what they offer, they do well. There were no leftovers. I went to Bacchus for a romantic dinner with my wife. She was impressed.
Great ambiance and service; upscale menu with enough choices to satisfy multiple dietary preferences. Nice selection of cheeses for appetizer or dessert. Tuna tartare very good. Beet and arugula salads had lovely, fresh ingredients, but needed a bit more spice/salt. Squash soup excellent. Two fish entrees (snapper and salmon) were well-prepared and flavorful. Veal ravioli with spinach pesto very good. Veal loin special perfectly cooked, with nice root vegetable mash and spinach; meat could have used a bit of savory sauce. Mo... read more
