The staff at Bixby Knolls Towers is really caring and attentive to the needs of the residents. I am confident that my dad is safe and well cared for.
Bixby Knolls was a great experience for my loved one. They really liked it there and had great care. Unfortunately we had to move my loved one to another retirement home closer to my sister. My loved one was too far from her to help care for them. We had no issues whatsoever that I'm aware of during my loved one's stay. My loved one especially loved the food.
If you need a place that is a safe haven for when you're old, this is a great place to be. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make the resident's lives easier. The community allows pets. The food is really good, and has improved since other family had been there. There is fresh hand-made soup each day as one of the courses. The process went really well with this community. The tour was good and nothing beats seeing the place in person. I was able to see everything that I needed on the tour and they answered all of my questions.
This community met and exceeded my expectations. I have dealt with other nursing homes and senior residences and I have been very happy here. In dealing with administration they are always responsive and friendly when I call.
We chose Bixby Knolls Towers because it was an affordable option compared to some we saw, they availability under short notice, and they were super accommodating and flexible with our family. My dad said the food was bland but was still good. The best part about this community was that they had a lot of activities for residents to participate in. I would and have recommended to others.
Right now the activities are at a minimum due to COVID, but beforehand they were wonderful. They had live entertainment, bingo and exercise activities for everyone. If someone had a birthday, they would have get together and through a small party, and our loved one really enjoys the food they serve.
My mother-in-law moved into the Towers a few months ago. This 14 story facility is an independent living facility. Prices vary according to the floorplan of the appartment and the number of the floor (2 - 14). She was welcomed by many of the residents and is slowly making friends. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that basic housekeeping was included in the rent. The skilled nursing section has 3 patients to a room, did not really care for that. The assisted living section was more pleasant and updated.
