Very friendly residents and staff. My mother has a one-bedroom apartment and is pleased with the layout and closet space. It's not a plush facility but very livable and affordable for what's provided. Can attend activities in both assisted & independent living.

The building is located conveniently to a lot of places. The interior is nice and bright which is nice for low vision residents. The apartments are newly renovated with flooring and appliances. My biggest concern is with staffing. There isn’t a marketing person available on weekends and I kind of had trouble getting an initial tour. The person who helped me suddenly was gone and no one contacted me to let me know who I would be working with.

My mom moved to Bay Towers in August 2024. She has adjusted well to her apartment in the Independent Living building. The staff are wonderful and friendly and the food is delicious. She calls Bay Towers her new home. She appreciates the daily activities and being able to socialize with many nice people. Bay Towers has exceeded my expectations and my mom is very happy!!

The staff are all very nice and helpful. They could improve on the food and the activities from getting more input from the residents.

Well my father lived at Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls there less than a year. He really needed more care so he is living with my sister now but they were very kind and helpful during his stay.

Staff and residents are very friendly and helpful. Staff is responsive to the needs of the residents. Elevators are a problem. Breaks down often. Not a good thing for a 14-story building with residents that have mobility issues. An overhaul of the elevator is needed. The first floor area would benefit from a hotel-grade air freshener system to combat overflow kitchen smells. 12-hour dining would be ideal. Spot shampoo carpet in hallway on floors that need it. Very homey, comfy, and people seem genuinely happy there. It's a fun place. Great value for price, very nice apartments and excellent meals. Nice grounds. Very nice staff. Where they fall down is maintenance: it takes a long time to get things repaired and it's an old building so things tend to break. Broken garbage disposal, broken fridge, clogged bath drain, no heating and an out-of-service elevator all happened in 4 weeks. All were slow to be repaired. So patience is required.
