My time spent at Bayside Marin has been life changing. Difficult to adequately express my gratitude in a Yelp review. I participated in their Intensive Outpatient Program. Bayside Marin has given me the tools for sucessful recovery. The team is top notch - highly educated in the evolving field of recovery and it shows. This is not a rip off rehab. This place really helped me turn my life around. I checked into their residential treatment program strung out on opiates, crystal meth and anything else I could get my hands on. I had tried rehab 6 months previous at Sierra Tucson in Arizona; that place cost at least $6000 more per month but was not nearly as nice. I really don't know where to begin concerning the treatment, facilities and staff at Bayside Marin. First and foremost this has to be one of the safest spaces I have ever been in. Team members made the environment feel welcome and homey. They were always there when you needed them and everyone from the director, nurses, and therapists were well trained and quick to assist wherever possible. The owner Tyler Hart the owner denied my to go to sober living I called asked why I have no answer and also I was an excellent customer there! I paid 110k and this is what I get he won't even answer the phone on why I'm not available to do. Not even the admissions team knows. That mean will be dealt with do not I repeat do not go to this place! They have teachers who weren't even teaching they were so short staffed and the medical team gave me and other patients wrong medicine. I have way more things I can say but that wraps... read more

I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by how my discharge from Bayside Marin was handled, particularly by Cindy, my therapist Susan, and members of my case-management and treatment team. Before my discharge, I repeatedly told staff that I did not feel ready to return to life outside treatment. Horrible food handling and bacterial contamination. Staff intentionally intimidate clients and there are numerous homophobic and racial discriminations happening.

I've been to two other 30 day programs 25 years ago that were 'ok' from my limited experience ... nobody is happy to be in an institution suddenly. That said if the staff, accommodations and surroundings are pleasant as well As vitals like food and professional attention.. then ok. Bayside is a corporate owned profit focused place. My experience at Bayside Marin has been deeply disappointing and, at times, concerning. While I entered treatment with hope and trust in the facility's reputation, my stay has been marked by systemic issues that significantly impacted both my safety and overall care. My adult daughter entered this treatment program for a dual diagnosis of a mental illness and alcohol abuse. We chose this program because we thought they could improve her medication regimen and help her with her alcohol binging. She never saw her assigned therapist until the second week. After 12 days she ended up in the emergency room not able to talk or walk as if she were brain damaged.
