This place really helped me turn my life around. I checked into their residential treatment program strung out on opiates, crystal meth and anything else I could get my hands on. I had tried rehab 6 months previous at Sierra Tucson in Arizona; that place cost at least $6000 more per month but was not nearly as nice. Anyways, the facility itself is in a wonderful and serene location. Beautiful landscaping, fountains, and a view overlooking the bay and the bridges in it. There is a constant rotation of quality food that is... read more

I really don't know where to begin concerning the treatment, facilities and staff at Bayside Marin. First and foremost this has to be one of the safest spaces I have ever been in. Team members made the environment feel welcome and homey. They were always there when you needed them and everyone from the director, nurses, and therapists were well trained and quick to assist wherever possible. The schedule for clients was always organized and although it may have changes during the day all of the team members were quick to noti... read more

My experience at Bayside Marin has been deeply disappointing and, at times, concerning. While I entered treatment with hope and trust in the facility's reputation, my stay has been marked by systemic issues that significantly impacted both my safety and overall care. One of the most troubling aspects has been the clear lack of communication between staff members. On multiple occasions, critical information was not relayed between departments, resulting in confusion, inconsistent guidance, and decisions being made without fu... read more

My adult daughter entered this treatment program for a dual diagnosis of a mental illness and alcohol abuse. We chose this program because we thought they could improve her medication regimen and help her with her alcohol binging. She never saw her assigned therapist until the second week. After 12 days she ended up in the emergency room not able to talk or walk as if she were brain damaged. After a day and a half the hospital found that she had lithium poisoning from toxic levels of her medication in her blood. She was hos... read more

Acadia is a horrible company driving all their employees to quit. In the time I was there (45 days) almost all of the therapists have quit which is a huge deal as bayside advertises about their therapy. I switched therapists 3x. Do not look at their website and expect what they advertise because most of it they didn't even offer. Highly misleading. Bayside has incredible views but the inside of the buildings were dirty and not taken care of. The cleaning staff does a half-assed job and even during visitation day on Sundays... read more

What can I say?- Just don't do it! From the time I entered treatment it was chaos. Although the property is beautiful, it's like putting lipstick on a dirty pig! Groups are subpar at best and my therapist was high! When I got there I saw their medical director "Dr. Cegloski" and he was rude, uncaring, and condensending. He talked down to me and it was clear he had no real care for my detox or my wellbeing. I tried to voice my concern many times and no one would listen! Then to top it off, I ran into the clinical director out... read more

The grounds are beautiful, the view is amazing and some of the staff are supportive and knowledgable about the recovery process. However, I chose this facility for my daughter because they advertise "During our thorough admissions process, our helpful and highly trained staff assesses for the presence of any existing mental health disorders" They did not do this, even after I specifically requested it. When I asked the director about this she said that they are screened during the admission process, but that clients are o... read more

This rehab claims to be able to treat co-occurring disorders. This simply isn't true, they refuse to admit clients with co-occurring disorders without poly medicating and forcing dangerous medications to be consumed during your recover process at Bayside Marin, medications that are consider to be a chemical lobotomies. The medical team is grossly negligent of most mental health disorders, they aren't capable of treating mental health issues and drug disorders without turning their patients into a zombified robots. Pleas... read more

10 years ago they were GREAT! Today, they have grown too much and are no longer focused on the patient! As a spouse of a person who has been in three facilities, I would no longer recommend this facility.
