This treatment center is happy to take your money, but awful with facilitating moving back to real life. My aftercare planner was a joke, I had to find my own sober living house. On the day I was discharging, I was told they would call me an Uber to take me to my car. After waiting outside for 10 minutes, I asked when it was arrived and was informed "We don't call Ubers." The treatment was good, but the discharge was chaotic, unhelpful, and destabilizing.
I have mixed reviews about this place. The facility is gorgeous. The people I met while in treatment will be friends for life. As far as the staff goes - very condescending and rude! There is no personal approach and they make you feel like an unwanted dog. It felt as if they were all robots who could really care less about our recovery. Cliff is awesome and should run the show. He took the time to get to know everyone and actually smiled. It's really not that hard to be kind, especially to an addict who is hurting inside an... read more
Business response:
Dear Meg, we regret that you felt unwanted and that the staff was unconcerned about your recovery. We never want this to be the experience of someone that is seeking help, much less a patient at our facility. So we thank you for letting us know and wish you well on your journey. And we will continue to listen to feedback from those we treat, especially regarding ways to establish trust with everyone that is "hurting inside and out." Michael - CEO
Bayside Marin makes false claims on their website, and discriminates against those with mental illness, denying treatment even if you can pay, based on a short phone conversation and brash judgment. On their website Bayside Marin dubs itself to treat with co-occuring disorders and will help one with "addiction and/or mental health conditions. After going through an extensive and extremely unnecessary "admissions " process, they claimed they could not meet my needs and therefore would not provide me treatment regardless if ... read more
Business response:
Dear Nioe, we are sorry this was your experience and hope you were able to find the help you were seeking. We will continue to look for ways to improve our services and admissions process. As well, we support, even at our own expense, your effort to coordinate with NAMI and to publically express concerns around the availability of substance misuse and mental health treatment. Michael - CEO
Incredibly condescending and rude staff. They're impolite, uninformed and don't even make an attempt to be civilized or customer-service oriented. They don't abide by contracts you fill out with them and will release information about your stay to any random Joe off the street. From my experience as a "client" all my encounters with the "therapists" lead me to question the staff's clinical competence. The therapist won't even think twice about getting into an argument with each other in front of clients. The doctors prescrib... read more
I was told that this place treated "dual-diagnosis" in addition to addiction recovery. I found that they were over-extending themselves in this category. The majority of the time care was given by staff who were under qualified and under paid, and I saw a shrink for 15 mins per week--which is just like real life, lol, but not given the prices BSM charges. Plus it was 'recommended' to me (and every other patient) that I needed to extend my 30 days there in order to 'successfully complete' the program. I began to feel like... read more
HORRIBLE!!!!!!! I was charged more than double the contract. A temp. employee put their hands on me. Why because I was perscribed drugs which I didnt need and didnt take, before any even Dr saw me. I left 10 days into the program, as the Psych with a masters degree told me they wanted not to let me leave at the end of 30 days. I still have bad dreams. Plus they put diags. onto my insurance claim form that were not true, now its in the insurance company file. Avoid this place, they will ruin your reputation!
