I Just post the review on their website but it wouldn't show. Interesting My son went to bayside few days ago. And he had the worse withdrawals ever. He would call me several times a day, I was wondering is any nurses out there or anyone?? You guys said every 30 minutes the nurse checking. No! He was crying for 40-60 minutes 3-3 times a day feeling sick! Then he left! Just left?! After this place he never the same! A "shut up and obey" approach to patient care with a terribly demoralized staff who are constantly fearing being fired. Ruling from fear only works for a little while until the CEO or an oversight committee figures out what's going on. Disastrous leadership from the main therapist "Dr Arno" who is deeply toxic. It's clear she has poisoned the entire organization with a 1950s east coast style of management that died a long time ago. Don't send your loved ones here unless you're ok with an institution that sets strict arbitrary and inconsistent rules, kicks people out (even in violation with their own policies), and sticks you with a bill for $5k+ for a few days of treatment. Bayside Marin does some things right (nice facilities, most of the staff is knowledgeable) but really important things really wrong (really lacking for dual diagnosis or DBT, a "my way or the highway" attitude with the leadership, an unwillingness to be transparent about cost breakd... read more

I highly do not recommended this facility the medial care, treatment and residential amenities are not the same at both housing locations (Canyon View side), they are not compliant with ADA laws and they do not have the psychiatric or therapy for people who need both mental health diagnosis and addiction. Horrible care for dual diagnosis. Not taking care of the patient that continues to have delusions and call crazy from treatment withZERO help to get rid of the delusions of person receiving care. The staff allows the addict to manipulate and do whatever they want. Poor judgement of care and then they ended up pushing the patient off to another rehab with zero answers or changes in the person!!!! An earlier review was removed because it did not offer enough detail about the experience that was referenced. That review said "Beware of the detox service. They prey on the vulnerable. Very poorly organized and run. Extremely expensive. Shameful, really." Let me provide more detail. After a 9:00AM admission, no medication was provided until 6:15PM. This treatment center is happy to take your money, but awful with facilitating moving back to real life. My aftercare planner was a joke, I had to find my own sober living house. On the day I was discharging, I was told they would call me an Uber to take me to my car. After waiting outside for 10 minutes, I asked when it was arrived and was informed "We don't call Ubers." The treatment was good, but the discharge was chaotic, unhelpful, and destabilizing.

I have mixed reviews about this place. The facility is gorgeous. The people I met while in treatment will be friends for life. As far as the staff goes - very condescending and rude! There is no personal approach and they make you feel like an unwanted dog. It felt as if they were all robots who could really care less about our recovery. Cliff is awesome and should run the show. Bayside Marin makes false claims on their website, and discriminates against those with mental illness, denying treatment even if you can pay, based on a short phone conversation and brash judgment. On their website Bayside Marin dubs itself to treat with co-occuring disorders and will help one with "addiction and/or mental health conditions.
