Id like to mention that this is not a mark against this particular Animal Hospital, rather a comment towards a particular female Animal Technician named (Nick). Again, The Doctor and other female technician were Superb in the doctors room, however this particular female technician (Nick) was terrifyingly rough with my animal. I know it caused trauma to my pet, because In all my years I never heard it scream so bad, and it took over 5 minutes for it to be touched even gently by me - its owner of 8 + years. Wish I could leave no stars... The first time I went there my puppy was vomiting and having diarrhea, so me being the concerned and conscientious pet owner, my husband and I waited outside with our pup. We waited over an hr, with the staff knowing how sick he was. So I go in finally and ask how much longer and I'm told there's still another walk-in in front of me. just had a friends yorkie t cup at 7 months go in to get spayed, even though we thought it was too young? dr.nelson assured them not,, guess what they killed it!! a simple procedure we were told ! so simple you killed the love of her life! thanks dr.nelson and company maybe you should reimburse her for the pain and distress you caused this women!! next time maybe you should think twice on a 2 lb baby not fully grown at 7months. its not all about the money!
We loved Dr. Nelson on our first visit but we never saw him! Our puppy was having major digestive issues and the other vets there blamed it on is - that we were feeding him too "rich" of a diet (aka, all natural). They put our puppy on a name-brand food full of by-product, corn, soy, and wheat - NO THANK YOU. We decided to go to a holistic vet in the area and start him on a raw food diet...WHAT A DIFFERENCE! My dog was rapidly gaining weight and took him here. They ran every test they could run, an MRI, multiple blood and urine tests...thyroid test, can you hear the dollars adding up? He had crystals and moderate amounts of blood in his urine, no fever, no bacteria...they treated him with antibiotics? Used to be ok. Not anymore! After taking my dog numerous times in the last couple weeks they never seem to know what to do or how to treat... NOT what you would expect after hundreds dollars spent. Dr Nelson scared both my husband and I that our dog could be in real danger and requested immediate bloodwork to see if he needed further tests. They almost killed my dog by mistreating him for over 7 weeks. During the treatment he kept on getting worst and worst, oddly I wasn't given follow up appointments and Dr. Smith would prescribe him different medicines and just say let's see how he does on these, but I took him in every week because he was getting worse and deteriorating, I always called before going in to make sure it was ok which they said it was but yet made us wait an hour if not more when I was obviously not there for a vaccine shot. From start to finish, my visit to Bayview Animal Clinic was by far, the most sub par vet experience I have ever had. Super small, hectic lobby & patient area with no way to divide coming & going dogs. The whole place was disoragized, unkept, and crowded. The patient room we were in was small with no place to sit or work in. Not until Dr. Smith walked into the room, did anybody else ever introduce themselves.
