Dr's Brunz, Nelson and Smith and their entire staff are the most amazing and knowledgeable team in the entire South Florida area. I have been taking my animals there for probably 10 years - not only are they spot on with their diagnosis 99% of the time, they are always aware of costs and they give you alternatives if they are available. they take great care of my dog jackie. they figured out how to mitigate the problems of her urinary disease, which has made her a happier dog and me a very thankful canine parent.

The entire staff is WONDERFUL,, BUT you will never find a more loving and caring vet as Dr. Nelson. He is not only brilliant and innovative in his field but he also loves what he does. It is a joy to always be greeted as if you were his only and most important patient! Specially when you walk in there with a very sick furry child. Dr Nelson and his staff are so wonderful and caring. My pets AND I have been patients for almost 7 years and also worked with Dr. Nelson at another clinic prior to his opening Bayview. There is NO other place to take you beloved animal family members!

On December 23th 2024 we had our dog spayed at Bayview Animal Hospital. In the middle of the night we had to rush her VEG Animal Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, there was blood everywhere, all her sutures were coming undone! We put her in the car rushed her to the emergency clinic and thank goodness for them, they saved her life. Apparently all of the internal sutures had come undone, something I have never seen or heard of with all the animals I have owned. After 2 dogs and over a decade of loyalty, I have finally joined the multitudes who have left the practice. The level of expertise and attentiveness has deteriorated to the point of no return! My baby's eye condition was misdiagnosed; he teeth had not been checked; he needed to be neutered to avoid (hopefully ) more serious problems. I now trust DEER RUN ANIMAL HOSPITAL! That vet proves fantastic! If care about your pet's longevity, I recommend going there!

I arranged a second appointment for my pup for her last round of shots. I explained I just needed the shots, no fecal, etc. I was told I would not be paying a visit fee since she's been seen just two weeks before, and explained that I did not need anything additional. They stated they would be sending me a bid, I did not receive one but via my first visit with them I could not imagine anything shady occurring. I have been going to Bayview for the last 8 1/2 years. I loved my vet Dr Rudd Nelson and I recommended many people over the years but since the practice was sold a few years ago it has continued to go downhill. The vets have had 100% turnover several times and it is like being in a factory no real interaction with the vets. They start by taking you into a room to speak to a technician and some have been ok, but some have no idea what they are doing. NEVER GOING BACK My dog has been going to Bayview for the last few years however after my last visit, I will never go back. To sum it up, I was told to needlessly euthanize my dog because he was on death's door and after a month of treatment from another vet my dog is living and doing well.
