Terrible place, my mother doesn't get her diaper changed every 2 hours as they say they do, she was laying in her poop for over 4 hrs until I called 5 times for someone to go change her. Nurse have not shown any sympathy for patients there, you would think it would be a good place as it's in Santa Monica, but no. Please save your loved one from this place, our family is scared for my mother's life, as her life is literally in their hands.

I'm a church pastor and over the past month, I have a dear friend who is currently a patient at Beachwood in Santa Monica. The phone number for Beachwood is: 310-451-9700. Over the past month, I have only been able to speak with my friend on the phone only one time, and that was after my call being dropped numerous times. I have been trying to get a number of confirmed COVID cases at this facility and I can't get a straight answer. When asked, our case worker replied that she is too busy to know the number of COVID cases (Really? You're too busy to keep track of the number of patients that have a deadly virus that is quickly spreading through your nursing home facility?) and directed us to www.plum.com which is conveniently "under construction". I'd give this place of hell zero stars if I could. This is the WORST rehab facility I have ever witnessed. My father was admitted here due to a stroke, which left him partially paralyzed, and the treatment he'd gotten was nothing but HORRIBLE. The staff here have absolutely zero respect for privacy, hygiene, quality care, and so on. Not only was I appalled by how they treated my father, but how they treated other patients, too. PLEASE PLEASE be careful with this facility for your loved ones. I never write reviews and had to let this be known. My father was recently there for a month and contracted a terrible rash. Beachwood did multiple tests with their dermatologists and never got to the root of the problem. We rushed my father to the ER today because his rash never went way over the past month since his release from Beachwood and got worst. They just diagnosed it as SCABIES!!! To be fair, some of the staff is good. But overall this hospital is too big and understaffed to give patients adequate care. I won't get into my specific experience, but will say that my family member was taken to the UCLA Emergency room due to the result of improper and lack of hygiene and cleanliness that should have been maintained for the patient by Beachwood. Heartbreaking situation.....

This place is completely understaffed. My sister had edema and rattling in her chest for MANY months that the staff the doctor refused to treat. They also would send her out to various places without notification. ALL her belongings over the course of 2 years were stolen. They were very inconsistent in having regular care plan meetings. This place is just a death trap!

I give it one star cuz i have too but this rehab facility lacks in security, compassion, dedication. They do not communicate at all with patient family and when they do is when they notice we upset. They show no care or knowledge of patients health. Nurses do not wash hands or use clean gloves. I saw a CNA use same gloves on 5 patients!!. Unacceptable. My dad was a patient there not to long ago and was treated very badly and was neglected. I found him in puddle of urine in bed dripping. He had bad sores all over his body. I know this place has had so many lawsuits due to bad care. If look further to this place you will find out that the name has been change multiple times due to lawsuits. Don't let the pictures on Yelp full you it's all fake. My dad is now in dying due to there bad care. You send your love ones there to get cared for and you end up taking them home dying. ... read more
