Not good but to be honest most are bad. Based on my research and experience this place is just not good. Employees such as CNAs are overworked and have a caseload that they can't handle. The administrative staff pretend to be attentive and helpful but they don't return emails or respond adequately to calls and inquiries. They smile in your face while you there but do nothing that they say they will do once you leave. this place is BEACH and WOOD for staff.very relaxed staff. i took my family member for physical therap if I dont show my face no therapy is done.supposed to be 2 hours only 30 min.you get a nice tour from 3rd floor but that is for long standing patients. YOU HAVE TO GO THERE DAILY.and ask them to change and make sure patient is eating.they put food on tray with wraps on water and liquids and they leave the room.so far I SEEN ONE patient rushed to emergency because the staff was LAZY to put belt around him on wheelchair.head... read more

I was under the impression the care my GM received was amazing, but it was not. Their were roaches crawling on the walls which is absolutely disgusting. The staff only changed twice during the night and day. My Gm consistently complained of them not changing her and she had to sit in her own feces for hours. If you do not want to change them if they are able offer them a commode. The nurse changing her was rude, rough and did not properly clean her private areas. I wish I could give negative stars! This place is horrible! Besides the fact I watched a nurse for over 30 minutes talking on the floor with her face mask down my father had a seizure and no one told me! His doctors demanded him to go back to the hospital because they felt that he wouldn't survive over the weekend in their hands! My father passed away a couple weeks later in the hospital. If there is a change in health they are suppose to tell you! All I got was an apology! F*ck this place! Don't bring your family here!

Poor quality service, poor management, under staffed, insufficiently trained employees. Call buttons not working. No response when help needed. No chair in my room. Had to sit on a commode to eat my meals. Charge nurses were uncaring and rude. Do not allow your Kaiser member to be placed here. Kaiser contracts with this facility. One hundred COVID cases here. This place is a nightmare and should be shut down, the way they treat patients is horrendous and inhumain. My mother ended up back in hospital with an infection. They were dirty and didnt seem to care. I witnessed a nurse check my mom's diaper and wipe her glove with excrement on the bed. My mother had a still healing surgery site on her head

Terrible place, my mother doesn't get her diaper changed every 2 hours as they say they do, she was laying in her poop for over 4 hrs until I called 5 times for someone to go change her. Nurse have not shown any sympathy for patients there, you would think it would be a good place as it's in Santa Monica, but no. Please save your loved one from this place, our family is scared for my mother's life, as her life is literally in their hands.

I'm a church pastor and over the past month, I have a dear friend who is currently a patient at Beachwood in Santa Monica. The phone number for Beachwood is: 310-451-9700. Over the past month, I have only been able to speak with my friend on the phone only one time, and that was after my call being dropped numerous times. I have been trying to get a number of confirmed COVID cases at this facility and I can't get a straight answer. When asked, our case worker replied that she is too busy to know the number of COVID cases (Really? You're too busy to keep track of the number of patients that have a deadly virus that is quickly spreading through your nursing home facility?) and directed us to www.plum.com which is conveniently "under construction".
