RecommendedDr. Mokos and her staff are wonderful with all fur babies. Very empathetic and caring. There are no words that describe how thankful we are for what they did for us.
We used to live in Hanahan and fell in love with the entire staff. We moved 4 years ago to Ridgeville and now make the 45 min drive to Hanahan. There are several Vets we pass along that drive but I wouldn’t take my babies to anyone else.
We took in my 3 yr old boxer, Chewy, here yesterday. She was so loved and cared for while she had her visit. She enjoyed the nurses who distracted her while she was getting her shots. Even got a phone call back this morning to check in on our fur baby and to see how she is doing. Highly recommended!

We have a pup that has a medical condition requiring him to be closely monitored and taken to the vet as soon as possible, if need be. Dr. Mokos, Dr. Spooner and the whole staff have consistently gone above and beyond for us. Everyone there is always very friendly and knowledgeable. Animals usually dread going to the vet; when we tell our dog he has to go to the vet, he runs and gets his leash! I would definitely recommend Best Friends Animal Clinic!!
This clinic is amazing! I had an emergency right at their closing time last night and they took us in anyways and stayed late to make sure that my fur baby was okay. I am so thankful to have found this place. The staff is so friendly and caring. They don't make you feel like you are troubling them at all. Great customer service. I took Scooter my dog. I feel in love with the Doctor she is so compassionate about the animals. I love this clinic. The staff is also friendly not rude like alot of vet places.
This is my first ever Facebook review, but I had to share my experience with Best Friends Animal Clinic. I recently moved to the Charleston area and have a pup who requires a bit of extra love. I seriously cannot give more praise to Best Friends Animal Clinic in Hanahan. We've lost both of our dogs in the past two months and the end of life care they provided for both of them was exceptional. Dr. Mokos is the most amazing veterinarian I have ever encountered, hands down.
