Eaten here a dozen times in past year, whenever in neighborhood. Food has been very good every time, ita as good as the original Elis Brothers food. Recomend it highly
When we pulled in, I was worried they were closed. It was nearly 9AM and the parking lot was empty. We gave it a try and they were open - we were the only customers for 10 minutes or so - then people started trickling in. We were quickly greeted and seated. Coffee and water came quickly. been going here for years, The workers have always been nice to me and even made conversation many of times.. Go there enough they"ll remember you!! :) The food is soo good spaghetti always is a safe option if its your first time and on wednesday the cabbage soup is the best soup i ever had. The claw machine in the restaurant too is real fun to play. The service is pretty quick even on busy days but if you go in there when its not packed youll get your food real fast
Think about a no thrills, low expectations, Coney Island service and then you won't be disappointed. For example, the server looked at the host station and said they must be out of crayons because she didn't see any. No effort to ask other staff. When I went to the bathroom I noticed a basket of crayons at a different server station so I helped myself. It's cheap food and fine for the low key life. I truly enjoyed my food. Great place! I never get to go here because it's not near. They have the best burgers totally recommen.
I come here almost every week with my grandma and I've always enjoyed big boy. I'd be really sad if they closed permanently like the other locations because I've been ordering the spaghetti since I was a kid. The service is usually pretty good, I certainly prefer our almost regular server Barb because she does a great job and is timely. I can always trust my spaghetti dinner from big boy to be good at this location!
12/1/23 Our server was Kayla, being a Friday they were busy but I tell you what they did a great job. The manager stepped up and was in the kitchen. The food was hot and everyone had a smile. In these days where the entire service industry is hurting these guys were rock stars! I'm coming back!
The Food Was Great. Service Was Awesome. This Is My Childhood. I Used To Go Here All The Time. With My Mom And Grandma. 1 Time I Got A Large Milk Shake And I Got A Large Sugar Rush. I Was Laughing All The Way Home. And I Came Here Again And It Was The Same As Before.
I just visited Big Boy on a day out with my Husband and son. The food was very nostalgic because we used to go here every Saturday when my son did baseball. There was this boy there named Matthew who was just the sweetest, quite the conversationalist. He really added to the restaurant's ambience and helped my family reminisce the "easier" days.
