We arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon and there were 12 people ahead of us waiting to be seated. The hostess seated the two big parties in a timely manner and then seated us. The waitress was at the table immediately. She took our drink orders and left the menus. The food was good. It was Big Boy fare that we knew we'd get when we chose the restaurant. Stopped in this afternoon. Staff were working hard to prep for dinner. Food was excellent quality, fresh salad, good soup. Great service. They said they have new management and bringing things up to snuff.
I've gotten the breakfast buffet and everything is cooked great. The variety is pretty good too.
You haven't lived until you have visited the Clare Big Boy, purchased the breakfast buffet for $7.99 and loaded your plate with a hearty pile of corn nuggets. They sound disgusting but they taste equally delicious. When I went to the Clare Big Boy for breakfast this past Sunday I took three trips to the bar. Filthy floors, dirty/sticky tables, booth seats cracked, bathrooms disgusting. Food not typical even for Big Boy. Service terrible. Long wait w 1/4 full restaurant. I've never reviewed before, but felt compelled. Very disappointed.
Just crap food. Cmon. Burnt breakfast to the point it was inedible. Staff didn't care. Just sad. Won't be back.
mom and I went for breakfast and got buffet. The eggs were made from powder, the sausage was undercooked, the biscuits were rock solid, the staff seemed to be pretty methed up. The place didn't seem that dirty though. And it cost $40 for two buffets.
A person claiming to be the manager of the location at the time this occurred sent me this message. Their is a reason she isn't the manager anymore.
Food was good, men's bathroom was disgusting, while the manager day at a table on his computer the entire time we we there for lunch
