We were taken to 2 wobbly tables that were pushed together and given 2 menus for our group of 5. Waited over 10 minutes for someone to take our order. Hostess was seating another group so we inquired about moving to another table (there were plenty) and she acted as if it were too much trouble. Asked for kids menus and she again acted like it was a problem to get. Can't rate food because we left before we even meet a waiter or waitress. Terrible service.
Apparently we aren't the only ones who have had negative experiences here. Just came from a 90 minute afternoon meal when it wasn't busy at all, waited forever for everything, server was unfriendly, slow, inattentive and never even cracked a smile. We had to track her down to get our bill. Food was so-so. Thank goodness we were traveling so we will never have to return. Save yourself the frustration and don't go here.
Let me start by saying normally we like Big Boys, but don't waste your time at the one in Clare Mi off of US-127! Stopped at Big Boys in Clare Mi and had the worst service ever. This place is filthy. The women's room was atrocious, the divider between the booths caked with greasy finger prints and food and the floors gross. The service was terrible.
This place has really gone down hill! Poor wait staff, poor service and terrible food ours was all cold. Won't go back
I have never been anywhere in my life that the service was this bad combined with terrible food. Very overpriced for the crappy service combined with the attitude of our server and also the girl who took our money at the cash register. The lack of care or concern was horrible. After i complained to the cashier all she told me was that she hoped I had a better visit my next time there. I told her I wouldn't be coming back there ever. Wendy Young
Clare is conveniently on our way to a lot of our road trip destinations for my family of 4, and Big Boy is typically decent food, decent service, and a decent price. We stopped in at 7:00pm on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was somewhat empty. Our server took our drink order and disappeared for 15 minutes. Havn't used yelp before, but after this visit to the clare big boy I had to make an account to leave a review. The restaurants appearence right as you walk in is just dragged down and dirty. The staffs attitude immediately sticks out as very casual as if they're there to hang out. Was seated promptly due to the restaurant not being very busy. My husband & I decided to go here today for breakfast to celebrate Valentine's Day. We got the breakfast buffet. There were lots of things to chose from. :-) Unfortunately, everything was cold and/or had sat so long in the warmers (that didn't warm) they were hard.
