I got bids from three companies to replace my furnace when the company that usually does my fall service told me the furnace was no longer usable. i called Black Lion based on Angie's List reviews, even though I was a little hesitant because thhe company is fairly new compared to better known companies. The guys came right on time, were super friendly and did a wonderful job. There is no floor drain in our basement so they had to haul the old unit up the stairs full of water, but they did that without the hint of complaint. I even offered a little bonus to them afterwards, and they both refused, saying that's what we're paid to do!!! Way to go Trevor and Jack! This was one of the best interactions I've had. Bought the advertised deal for $949. After some questions to see if there were any hidden costs for expansion tanks, disposal of old tank, permits, earthquake straps, etc (No hidden costs) I scheduled a Friday 8-9 AM appt. I was worried that it would take too long since I had to be out the door for kids dental appt at 1 pm. The service person came out at 8:50 and promptly got to work. He was done in under 2 hrs. From the first call, the follow up, and the installation, all went very well. When the original 50 Gal Tank wasn't going to fit, Jason (installer) resolved the issue quickly, and got the new water heater in place. The installation team (Jason and Jack) were friendly and professional, and explained steps, and answered questions afterwords. This was overall a great service.
