Our party of 6 arrived at noon for our lunch reservation. We were seated immediately upstairs. It was busy, and our server finally came by about 15 minutes after we were seated. We live downtown Sarasota and tried Boca for the first time. The food was good, but the service was not. We were there at least 20 minutes with no one stopping by our table, tried to flag down a server and they literally ignored us. it's loud there so they likely didn't hear us. We had to get up and find someone who wasn't our server who was kind enough to come over to assist. They are clearly overwhelmed and do not have enough staff. We are local. Familiar with Boca. This restaurant is just OK at the bar or for maybe brunch. Menu is not good for dinner. Drinks ? Stop with the rum punch and mojito if you want to keep up to true SRQ dining. Our dinner was not good at all. They have a decent wine list. I felt like it was dirty too… ladies room was so gross. Makes me feel like kitchen is gross.
Terrible service. Manager promised it would be better after changing servers but this didn’t matter. Waited an hour for drinks, then an hour for food. Manager never returned nor offered any type of compensation. Food was pretty good although a couple items were not hot and the fries were soggy. Can not recommend and will not ever go back. Too many good restaurants in Sarasota to waste time on this one.
3 out of 4 people ordered burgers cooked medium rare. the burgers were served anywhere from medium to medium well.
Had high Hope's based on all the good reviews, but... 1. Service was inattentive and slow 2. Food was mediocre (all three of us felt the same about our individual orders) 3. Coffee was not hot, lukewarm at best
Disappointed in grilled Caesar-romaine not grilled and no bottarga as advertised-other meals and drinks good. Noise level upstairs made conversation impossible-waiter was helpful

Long wait despite reservation and table available. Sweet potato gnocchi were just chopped potatoes, not rolled pasta. Grilled Caesar was cold and not grilled. Zucchini fries were soggy, short rib tacos were dry, little sauce. Our waiter did a fine job, especially carrying food and drinks upstairs.
