Refused to let us sit outside even though it was mostly empty. Probably won’t go back for awhile
Food was great as always. Our server was very poor, seemed in a bad mood, no smiling, no pleasantries. Didn’t tell us the specials, didn’t top up the sodas, didn’t give us our appetizer first as we requested, brought us the check after the mains without asking if we wanted anything else! As the restaurant was quiet, the bad vibes from our server made our experience fairly awkward.
The AC was not working. It was extremely hot and doors were opened which made it worse. Manger decided to close early due to very uncomfortable temps in the restaurant. While the food and service was good we were literally sweating which made it unpleasant.
Went for lunch with friends on Friday 7/7/2022. Service was very slow. Server came and introduced herself and then disappeared. I had to ask another server to find our server. I had their "special" fish and chips. It was served on a wooden board. My wife had a salad with some sort of grapes that had seen better days. We all thought they were bad olives at first. We waited an hour for our food and finally had to go find the manager. He checked and said they had lost our ticket. We were fed up and left. He did comp our drinks. It was ridiculous that neither our server nor the manager even realized the problem, we had to alert them. Obviously never going back.
No matter how many times I've gone to Boca, they always seem to find a way to disappoint--if it's not the service, it's the food. This time it was the food. I only go with a pair of out-of-town friends who like the atmosphere so if you're asking, this is why I go back. The salad I ordered had grilled chicken which is cut up right on top of the salad so they should have noticed they were cutting into a raw piece of chicken. Not cool! What a comedown from our last meal at Boca. The hostess was unfriendly. She seated us at an upstairs table near a noisy group with small children and a view of a wall. Service was slow and uneven. Both our meal selections were way under seasoned - not just needing salt but generally bland and too greasy. No inquiry by anyone whether everything was good. Boca, what happened??? What a shame.
The food was mediocre at best! The fries were truffle were completely tasteless! The waiter was great! The food not!
The menu was cheap food for a Main Street price. Nice appetizers but very Poor entrees, very poor!!! Pity Never recommending or even going back!!!
