Our heating & air company installed 50 gallon March 2019. By August 2020 it started to leak. Our installer charged us $500/ later reduced to $425. to replace defective unit. Wrote to Bradford White & they told our repair company they would send them a check to forward to us for the $425. Our repair company never received the check & neither did we. So much for the word of Bradford White & their products. The only reason we agreed to go with Bradford was because their factory was in the USA. Needless to say, never again!... read more

Nonexistent customer service. Called and was put on hold, they never answered. I checked the website for hours to see if they had all gone home for the day, and they don't even list hours so I'll never know. Won't be doing business with a company like this again, for any product, at any price. I don't know if this was laziness or incompetence, and I don't care. I'll be using other brands.

We have had terrible luck with our water heater. It was purchased in 2018. In 2020 the gas lighter went bad. Cost us $125 after negotiating with the Bradford White repair company. Then in 2021 it sprung a leak and flooded in the basement. While the part was technically covered we had to spend another $875 in labor. At this point we've now repaid almost half the original price of the water heater. Incidentally we have a 50 gallon short tank gas water heater. I purchased a Bradford White water heater. It did not come with an outer door. I contacted the supplier who said I would have to contact Bradford White. I called Bradford White's 24 hour service line and was told that their parts department could help me the next morning when they were open. I contacted the parts department who told me that the supplier (who said to call Bradford White and have them mail me the part) were the ones to help me. After living in our first home for 15 years with a Bradford White water heater that was replaced after 17 years of use with another Bradford White we moved to a home circa 1960 with the original Bradford still working! Our home inspector and contractor were stunned, they had never seen a water heater that old still working.
