We love the selections and the food. It's easy, quick and a great place to go anytime. The chicken soup is a very favorite. The staff is always friendly and polite.
Expensive but in line for Mid Town restaurants. The quantity and quality not matched by others. Very Clean friendly, with a NY attitude.
Brooklyn Diner -- a non-directionally named restaurant -- in the Theatre District in Manhattan is a great place for lunch b efore the theater. We go often and the food is always predictably good. The portions are large enough to share -- particularly the Chinese Chicken Salad! The Brooklyn burger is juicy and cooked to perfection as are the fries and onion rings that accompany it!
As far as diner food goes, this food is top notch! I discovered it through work, and now it is my go to spot. The Reubens, the burgers, the chicken soup - and I don't even like chicken soup - is to die for! I haven't had everything on the menu, but everything I've had is amazing.
Good food, quite pricy. $20 for mac and cheese seems a bit much. Nothing special or notable about this dining experience.
It was Easter Sunday. We were a group of 9 people. From Brian the manager to the wait staff all were excellent. The food was served quickly and was very good. I know the resturant was busy because it was Easter, but they treated us like we were the only ones there. excellent five star service. Thank you
Our waiter was right--the chicken pot pie hit the spot! Nothing like warm chicken pot pie on a rainy day. The service was prompt and courteous, better than what I expected.
restaurant was very nice food was good prices are outlandish for a diner or even a restaurant.....20.00 for a sandwich....
I had made an online reservation for lunch on Sunday requesting 12:30 & was asked for an alternate time, which I requested 12:45. We took a train from Westchester on rainy day & arrived @ the Diner @ 12: 20 and were asked to wait "near the bar" till 12:45. The bar area was very crowded with mostly people waiting to be seated. There was a lot of coming & going of wait staff, customers, etc in this narrow crowded area with no seating & very little room to stand. Finally were seated @ 12:45. It too almost 1/2 hr to get our food... read more
