We arrived at 155 W 43rd St on time from Grand Central Station, a pleasant walk. We were seated in a section where the air conditioning was NOT working. Believed it would be returned to working order in a matter of minutes according to our waitperson. We should have walked out at this point. A drink of cranberry with Vodka took over a half-hour. The burgers were very good and priced at what you'd expect for Manhatten. The service was absolutely the worst we've ever experienced, from start to finish. The sad thing was our server kept acknowledging her poor performance and apologizing, but then joking about her poor performance and laughing about it. One thing she did get right--we were not amused.
Service was very bad and the food was just okay. I would not necessarily recommend the place.
We were looking for a typical diner that offers three meals. This one had lunch and dinner only. The hotdog was average, but the fries were cold and disappointing. We will not return because of the food value and quality. The staff was pleasant and efficient.
Way over priced for what it is. There’s not a thing on the menu there is reasonably priced. They really have no business calling themselves the “diner“.

The menu didn’t disclose Walnuts on one of the salads. As a person with but allergies this is pretty horrifying. The crab cake was so fishy smelling there is NO way it was fresh. Sent it back, they offered to make another but from the same batch of mix that was prepared that morning. As if it would smell any better? Word to the wise, if you can smell your seafood before it reaches the table, don’t eat it!
Food was decent but service was terrible. Got order wrong. Didn’t come to table to see if things came out correctly
