Server was average at best, disinterested in our table. No milkshakes available. Entrees arrived quick, dessert was a long wait and Diner was not even full. Won’t hurry back
No chicken pot pie, no coconut cake, no turkey dinner. That's why I went there. No prep cooks I was told.
Brooklyn Diner has no idea what to do with a food allergy. Our son has a nut allergy and we informed the server who said, “no problem.” 30min later she comes back and says she cannot make the waffles because of cross contamination. I’m okay with that but the server should have known so we could have placed a different order right away. He got a bagel with cream cheese and lox instead. The food was overpriced and mediocre at best. The service was also very slow for the few people that were in the restaurant at the time.
The food was marginal at best. Service was terrible, it was if we were bothering the server to do his job. I would not recommend this restaurant. Bad experience.

The disappointment part is that the coupe next to us didn’t make reservations and they had the options to sit in the table . 10/10/21 at 4:50pm . By the way the bartender was awesome , excellent customer service.
Will start out by saying that you are paying their rent for a very prime location in tourist town. Prices are double what are at other great diners in nyc. Portions were small and service was horrible. Nice server but overworked. take a cab or walk few blocks over to 9th ave and find way better, more local selections.
Food was terrible. Couldn’t even bite through pastrami.
Merely "OK". They honored our Open Table reservation right away. The food was not as good as typical NY diner food. My guest had a cheddar burger, which he stated was good. I ordered the Pea Soup which was definitely not as good as I expected it to be and a grilled cheese sandwich which also seemed unlike a traditional normal grilled cheese sandwich. I'm not even sure if it was real cheese on the thick bread that seem to be open toasted and melted upon it. The fries had a bunch of Rosemary thrown on it which made them a litt... read more
