Food was overpriced and very average. ($19 for a pastrami sandwich - seriously?? No cheese, no mustard, just meat and rye). Service was inattentive at best. Also, our party of five was seated at a booth for four with a chair stuck in the aisle. Awkward and uncomfortable. Will not return.
Mediocre food, cramped seating, big disappointment. Went for my birthday to have breakfast with my family. The order was wrong, so I ended up never getting my food. Everyone else’s was bland and barely edible. I went home and had a Kind bar, which was a better alternative.
Making the reservation was easy and the host was very accommodating since we had made two reservations for our large party. He graciously seated us together without us even requesting. However, our server was scattered, tried too hard to be funny, kept stumbling and coughed and scratched her nose incessantly. Made us think she was on something. Food was mediocre. We ate around 3:30. Our server took our order and we never saw her again. Had to get the manager to get refills and our check. I realize it was shift change, but the server was still there just not interested in serving our table. I guess that’s why they had tables available and no one else in Times Square did.
Extremely expensive. Huge but unappetizing hotdog for $20. No children’s menu. Milkshakes were mediocre and not creamy. Went there after the Lion King with kids and very disappointing. Service was disinterested and the restaurant wasn’t even full.
We had a poor experience at the brooklyn diner, A couple of issues were : 1. Seating was tight, you were right on top of the people next to you 2. They were mopping throughout the whole service, when we walked in the place smelled like dirty mop water 3. I searched for a kid friendly place, this place didn't have a kids menu ( shame on me) 4. Wait staff was slow and not carrying, everyone was asking other waiters for items.
The food was gross. I would never go here again. This is probably the only diner in NY that doesn't serve breakfast all day. Even if it did, I'm sure it would be disgusting. I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even people I hate.
Food is just not good. Period. They are nice people but it is not worth it when there are so many great places to go
No pastrami at noon on a Sunday. Absolutely ridiculous
