We were seated before and attended to after the table next to us. Then I ordered a pastrami sandwich and 15 minutes later was told that they were out of pastrami. Then I ordered a burger medium rare and it was delivered well done. By the time I got my burger (undercooked this time), my daughter had finished her meal. I also was given no silverware and it took asking three times to get ketchup. They did comp the burger without my asking, which I think was the right thing to do, but what was supposed to be a quick little dinne... read more
Chose this restaurant because of the proximity to our theater on a Friday night and wanted to make sure we had a pre-theater reservation. Almost walked out when first arrived, due to the OVERWHELMING smell of chemical/cleaner. The menu is a little confusing...seems like they aren't quite sure what they're trying to be. The matzo ball soup was good, as was the pastrami on rye. Couldn't find a simple salad on the menu for a picky eater in our party. Took FOR-EVER to get cocktails. Even for New York, the prices were high, espec... read more
Dissapointing. High prices with average at best food.
Very overpriced and not worth the money. I could not believe how expensive our bill was. The food is just okay.
Quite literally the worst meal we have eaten this year from start to finish. Restaurant smelled like a bathroom urinal. Pastrami was so thick you couldn’t eat the sandwich. The pulled chicken in our Cobb salads had to be a week old. We were sat next to bussing stand so we watched a waiter enter orders next to us the whole meal. Waffles were not cooked on the inside. $150 for table of four without alcohol for food that would not pass at a normal diner. Only bright spot was mini hot dogs. Don’t waste your time here. For 1/3 of... read more
I hadn't eaten here in many years. It sure has gone downhill. They use to have delicious juicy hamburgers. What I ate I could have gotten at McDonald's. And for much less money. And the French fries were cold and limp. Stay away.
We had a pre show late breakfast at the diner. Food was just “ok”, and prices high. Fresh orange juice was tasty. Our waiter was very nice and service good.
Service was slow, even with only a few guests in the diner. Small portions for the price. Chicken & waffles was 2 pieces of fried dark meat and a 3 inch waffle. The pastrami Reuben had 5 slices of meat and a load of slaw. Not going back anytime soon. Heading to Junior’s for a real NY meal.
Overpriced tourist trap. Would not recommend, $25 omelettes
