Such a great place! My husband, daughter and I had breakfast here 2 days in a row because the food is fabulous and the service is excellent. Very attentive staff, and the food is a delicious elevated take on classic diner breakfast. For example, most egg dishes are served with cubed polenta (grits) and a pomodoro ( tomato) sauce, and a choice of challah ( sweet egg bread) toast or an everything bagel. I definitely did not miss the home fries/ hash browns that are usually served with diner breakfasts. The Tony Bennett French ... read more

Brooklyn Diner in Times Square is a must-visit. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of retro and modern, making you feel instantly at home. The menu offers classic American comfort food but with a gourmet twist. Service is attentive without being overbearing. Whether you're just visiting or call NYC home, this spot never disappoints.

Perfect place to dine if you are in the theater district.

Tuna melt was basically their tuna salad sandwich with a slice of cheddar (only option). I could have gone to a cheaper diner with a better overall diner experience with expected open face tuna melt with almost any cheese I would choose... My wife enjoyed her turkey sandwich.

The Brooklyn Diner is a good alternative to expensive Broadway area restaurants. But don't expect people from Brooklyn to be there or anywhere else from NYC. I went with a Hoosier and sat next to people from Wisconsin. The portions are ridiculously generous. Think share. Wait staff very attentive. It didn't feel like a real NY restaurant to me, but it was just fine. Oh, yes, my friend and I had a bagel with smoked salmon. Just fine. They have a cookie that's the size of a big frying pan. (We did not have that.)

This is the 2nd time we’ve eaten at the Brooklyn Diner and I would definitely recommend it. The food is delicious and the service is good. My only complaint is that the wait staff can be a bit intrusive and will want to clear your plate before you’re finished eating. It got to be a little annoying and I had to say to the waiter that we were good and that we’d let him know when we were finished.
