Good food, location, and ambiance. Slow wrapping up payment - took longer than the meal.
What a typical New York diner! We enjoyed 4 breakfasts during our week in NYC. Food is fantastic. Service very fast. Very friendly staff. Once we met Guillermo (our server), we asked for him every time. The menu is huge, and you can do some variations to your dish. The Steak and Eggs was my thing. My wife was going for waffles and more traditional breakfast (pancakes). We also met Alexis, a retired server that is still coming to work a couple of days a week (just to help). Sometimes the best late lunch is breakfast. We totally enjoyed Brooklyn Diner’s Pastrami Hash with Fried Eggs with toast and housemade preserves for lunch. Great menu and exceptional service and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

We visit the Brooklyn Diner on 57th anytime we are in NYC! The food is great and the staff are even better!
The greeters and wait staff are the friendliest and most gracious people in NYC! They go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome and are focused on assuring that your order is correct and you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. They go out food is delicious. I have eaten here for breakfast, but have also come for a late dinner. I highly recommend the Brooklyn Diner.
