Buffalo Small Animal Hospital opened its doors over 100 years ago to provide affordable, high-quality healthcare and advice for our city's animals. Due to the popularity of pets as household companions, the hospital went through many changes to accommodate our clients' needs. As the horse stalls turned into exam rooms and the hay lofts turned into boarding facilities, we developed our practice to serve Buffalo's beloved dogs and cats.

RecommendedDr. Koelmel went above and beyond this week to help take care of my cat, Frank, when he got a sudden and dangerous oral infection. Not only did she see him quickly for his first exam, she was able to schedule him first thing for a follow-up when he took a bad turn and then scheduled emergency surgery that lasted well past closing hours on Saturday. I highly recommend Them! I take both of my cats there! They are all SO incredibly nice and caring about my kitties. There prices are good and fair. I have nothing bad to say about them! There always super quick to answer the phone to make an appointment and super fast while at the appointment. Take your animals there! You won’t regret it!
Love them!!! My babies look and smells so amazing! They were so great, yesterday I was able to drop them off before work for grooming and rabies and pick them off after work 😊. Living across the street is also a perk.

The staff is very nice and professional. Dr. Koelmel and Brittany always ensured good care for my dog, and made sure when it came time, that she rested easy and peacefully with a home visit!
They took excellent care of my dogs! They recommended a paw plan while there which sounds very affordable and a great way of getting your dog up to date on everything they need! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get it this time, but hopefully at my next visit! The staff is great! They were able to get me in super quick and called me back when an appointment became available in the time I needed it!
The staff is great! The receptionist always great me and my dogs by name when I walk in the door. The technicians, Holly, Brittany and Coryn always show my pups lots of love and are very knowledgeable. Dr. Koelmel and Dr. Mroziak are amazing and always take the time to explain any questions I have! The paw plan was super affordable and helped me get my wrecker neutered and fully vetted! I give this hospital 5 stars and tell everyone I know to come here!
