Truly a lovely apartment building. I felt safe during my entire stay. The management was patient, prompt and professional. I'll miss this place when my lease is up. My next apartment is cheaper but far less beautiful. I recommend this place if you don't mind being next to a busy street.

I lived here for 6 months and really like it. It is a great dog friendly apartment. It is a good neighborhood for walking your dog. It is a beautiful place as long as you stay in the middle apartment building. That is the one that is renovated and very nice. The ones on the outsides are gross. Don't stay in those. They are like night and day. The one thing that was not good was their repairs. They take a while to repair things but the staff is nice.
At first glance the property looks clean and well maintained and the staff seems very nice and accommodating; then once they have your holding deposit, they take 3 days to let you know you're "conditionally approved" without any explanation as to why, ask for first and full month's rent as deposit while tacking on several other fees in addition to the rent which aren't made very transparent at the start. Absolutely horrible apartment complex it looks nice on the outside but it's infested with roaches, , the units are supposed to be renovated but they barely do any renovations, The manger named Ann is very passive aggressive and condescending she does not care about her tenants, they gossip about tenants to other tenants in a ill manor , she hires cheap labor to come and fix things in the building just for the same issues to re appear a week later, Yasmine is such an angel she is amazing she was the only upside of living in... read more

If you're a young single women who lives alone read this before moving in. When I first seen this place it was perfect and in my price range. I loved it so I moved in right away. Yasmin had helped me with the moving in process which was very easy. I move in and 3 months in my brand new car that I just recently purchased only 1 month prior was broken into. Beware: Candlewood North looks brand new and beautiful from the outside, but it was constructed in the 1960's! My experience at Candlewood North has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. It's noisy, unsafe, and often times dirty and unsanitary. I have a popcorn ceiling in my apartment that has been cracking and leaving layers of dust on my belongings. Would not recommend living here. There is very limited street parking, location is loud (constantly woken up by the fire department across the street), frequent electricity and water shut-offs, and management is poor/ rude. There is a roach infestation in all of the complexes and if you choose to live here, you will definitely not get any of your security deposit back. Post Move Out Update: Up top I must still give props to the wonderful maintenance crew of the Candlewood Apartments, they are awesome, they do the job right, they deserve raises, they deserve a better place to work. Afar from other things I am giving one star MAINLY because of management (Yasmin). She is some 40 year old valley girl and is R U D E. Couple of months living there she sent us an email wrongfully accusing my ex roommate about them blasting music in the parking lot late at night in their BLUE car (their car is RED and no one else had a car) then said we ripped off caution tape from the hallway? All four of us went to confront her and asked to show us the tapes of us supposedly ripping off this caution tape, but she did not. ... read more
