This place used to be a nursing home converting to an assisted living a few years ago. Although the entire place was redone with beautiful modern floors, wallpaper, etc. it still looks like a nursing home/hospital setting. It is not warm and inviting, more sterile like. Residents are in one small room which was not conducive to feeling like it was an apartment for long term living.
My Mother-in-law, who has dementia, is here currently and so far the people at CareOne have been amazing. They just know how to handle her and deal with her and they just seem to be unfazed with the outbursts she sometimes can have. The staff is patient, kind, understanding, and they just seem devoted to helping the residents the best way they can. We absolutely love this facility. My mom started out up stairs for rehabilitation. She was up there for 3 months. The Nurses and CNAs are fabulous. I was as if they were caring for a member of their own family. Before my mom's rehab was up we were not quite sure that we could take care of her yet. So she went downstairs to assisted living section. This was also a wonderful experience. Any questions or concerns were taken care of immediately. We thank you very much and will recommend your facility highly.
My husband stayed at CareOne for respite care, and overall, I feel that it was an alright experience. The Administrators are informative, tried to answer all of our questions, and worked to prepare us for our visit. I found the place to be very clean with new furniture, but everything is gray. It isn’t very bright and cherry. They really didn’t have much going on by way of activities either and I wish they would have done more with him. I initially wanted my mother to go to a different nursing home; however this location was more convenient. The staff is great and I love the nurses there, they know what they are doing. There were only a couple of times when I had to grab a nurse to change my mother. My mother is always in her bed so every two hours they would change her and re position her. I wouldn’t necessarily know when the 2 hour mark is, but they seem to be on top of it. My mother has to be fed through a feeding tube so she doesn’t in their cafeteria. ... read more
This is a very nice community and my mom likes her room, she had brought her own furniture in so she feels more at home. The staff are friendly and attentive and they have encouraged mom to take part in the different activities that are offered there, there is a nice courtyard that is key-coded that the residents can go out on and visit with friends and family. I feel my mom is secure and safe here. There is a nice dining area and the food is pretty good. I would definitely recommend this community and taking a tour here.
I turned this community for the care for the family. The staff was nice and I was happy that they were able to answer my questions. They had a nice menu that is available. This community was not big for what we were looking for. Families might want to consider a tour
The facility is beautiful. It's easy to spot from the main street. Parking is great, they have 2 lots and an underground parking garage. The receptionists are amazing. They are always greeting everyone with a smile and is always responsive to any question, comment, or remark. The nursing staff is great. The nurses and the aides are always helping the patients. I really liked the atmosphere here because the residents were out and about. They even greeted us as we were walking around. I didn't see any resident unattended or sleeping in a hallway. The rooms are spacious and clean. [Removed] was very helpful and answered all of our concerns/questions. The only drawback for us was parking. We went at 2PM and had to park at the other side of the complex.
