I am a friend or relative of a resident My wife is in Care One. The staff is very good for the most part. Sometimes they are slow to response, but overall, my wife was satisfied for the most part. They have all kinds of events, but my wife does not participate. She is bed bound at this point; she is not able to get up and not really able to take care of herself. I know that they have musicians come in, they show movies, they have games that they play, and everything else, but that's not the thing that my wife enjoys anyway. ... read more

I am a friend or relative of a resident Mom was in Millbury, but she needed more care now because she had a fall a couple of times. They have exercise, physical therapy, and memory care. They have something going on all the time.

I am a friend or relative of a resident Essex Park Rehabilitation Center wasn't my first choice -- the ones that I was looking to get my mother into were fully booked -- but it is OK. My mother said the food is good. Coming from an assisted living where she had her own living room, bedroom, and bathroom, it is very cramped there. It is like a hospital. They have to share a room because they only have a couple of private rooms, so that is the problem.

I am a friend or relative of a resident My husband is in CareOne Harmony. Everything is going very well so far. I think the services are quite adequate. The food and the dining area are fine. I like the fact that they have residents in the different areas depending on their levels of need, care or ability. They say my husband is the highest functioning dementia patient they have there. His dementia is a result of a stroke. The only problem is the expense.

I am a friend or relative of a resident Mom came from Care One. She was there for 3 months. The rooms were dark and dreary. The rooms were more hospital-like and institutional, and they had only limited activities. They didn't have a lot of things for them to do. The food was OK. As good as the staff was, they could hire more. They're kind of stretched thin. When she first got there, she ate in the room, and then she went to the dining room, which was nice. The dining room was spacious.

I am a friend or relative of resident The social service employee tried very hard to intimidate my sister and I. She threatened to report us to the ste for elder abuse. Our mothers physician said there was no medical reason for her to be there. The girl needs a lesson in communicating with family members. Her THREATS did not work!!!!! We have been taking very good care of our mother......The nursing care and the therapist were wonderful.

I am a friend or relative of a resident They told me when my mother went in Care One that they accepted Medicare. After she was discharged, they had a bill for over $4000. They were saying that Medicare didn't pay for her room and board and they wanted me to pay it. They waited months and months and months before they sent this bill. I would not recommend them as a sub-acute facility. I would recommend that people be very careful with their financial obligation before they go in there. Other than their billing, we weren’t in... read more

I am a friend or relative of a resident My dad stayed at CareOne when he was recovering from his surgery. The staff was very nice. It was a completely different type of setting. It was more like in between a hospital and assisted living. He was in a semi-private room, and the situation depended on who his roommate was. You would never know who you were going to get. He had some roommates who didn't say anything, or some complained that he had his TV too loud. I guess that's part of the territory, but they looked on him const... read more
