I visited this facility My mother was at CareOne for about six weeks. The facility was fairly clean, however it wasn't until her stay that we saw how care was provided to patients there. First, the facility is highly understaffed. Many times there were only one or two aides for a floor of about 20 patients. If a patient required or requested a bath sometimes the aides could not complete them by the time the facilities lights out. The attitudes of some of the aides was poor. I am a friend or relative of a resident My husband was a resident here for 6 weeks. He has MS and needed rehab. They were wondefful, from the young lady who met us at the door when we first arrived to the last person who walked us to our car when we left every person we saw was great. Thier rehab dept was great and got my husband moving again. His only complaint was the food, but I supplemented that everyday, he came home 8 lbs more than when he arrived. If you or someone you know needs care I reccommend this facility.

I visited this facility My biggest qualm with the facility was that the staff was not quick to respond to resident's calls. If my grandmother needed to get up to go to the bathroom and pressed a call button, the time passed between the button pressing and the responding nurse entering the room was way too long. I would have to stand out in the hallway to flag someone down. The employees were attentive during therapy sessions, and wanted to see their resident's get better. I visited this facility Walking into the facility, the lobby was clean and clearly kept well, the residents were sitting on comfortable looking couches and mingling in the lounge areas. Making my way down the hall way to the dining area, I noticed the many amenities the place offers, such as a movie theatre. I could not find the dining area at first, so I asked a nearby staff member for help locating it. The staff member I interacted with was very polite and helpful. I am a friend or relative of a resident The food was amazing there and they served large portions. My grandmother gave me some of her fish and desert. The faculty there were pretty good to my grandmother and seemed nice when I was around but my grandmother said there was one nurse who wasn't particularly helpful and at one point they gave her the wrong medicine for her pain and she ended up having stomach issues. I am a friend or relative of a resident The building itself is beautiful, it was converted from an old mansion and they kept the same fancy look. The staff are well trained and very nice. Everyone knows my relative there, and they do their best to accommodate her. Though there are times when the facility is understaffed, and there have been some staff let go from time to time. I visited this facility Overall the facility was not bad but it did have some short comings. Some of these that should be taken into consideration are that it is a little over crowded, isn't as nicely decorated has some of the other places in the area. In terms of the positives the care seems to be adequate, there are lots of different activities for the members to participate in. I am a friend or relative of a resident Clean bldg.,respectful staff, however ,Nurses are spread too thin in sub acute care unit . Doctors are invisible, unless you get there at 6:30 A.M. and look for them ,and then still ,their services are at limited due to their patient load. Unfortunately this seems to be pervasive in most sub acute and long term care facilities. I am a friend or relative of a resident The staff is very caring, have been with River Glen for a long time and consistency is very important with memory impaired patients. My mother had a very bad stroke and is very limited physically and mentally. I feel the staff works well with family, too - but as family (no matter where you are) YOU must be willing to be an advocate!! Not every staff member is great.
