Finally picked up my 10x American-Black Felt and got it rocked out by my main man, Lawrence "The Houston Hat Guy!" Got the custom coffin crown shape w/ skull and a burned patina effect!! 🤘🏻 This fine gentleman is a true master and artisan when it comes to anything related to hats!! And to boot he is a hell of a nice guy that provides great communication and is willing to go the extra mile to satisfy his customers! ! Totally worth the drive to Cavenders on 290....keep up the great work, Lawrence!

I was here to buy a cowboy hat. The employees were very friendly. But the style I like doesn’t have my size. 7-3/8. The ones that have my size I don’t like. So I ended up buying a buckles for myself and a badge for my 3-year old.
Went for my first ever cowboy hat... EVER.... it was a great experience, and I was very impressed with the HAT staff. I'm not sure what the proper word is for them, but they are artist and sculptures in their own right. "THE HAT MAN" is there sometimes and totally worth seeing. Totally worth trying out, get you a nice fit and even a nice brand burned into the beaver or whool HAT for that added touch. They are all great but try and catch that guy they know as "The HAT Man"
I just had the pleasure today of meeting Lawrence, who did an excellent job shaping and sizing my hat for me. He even went the extra mile for me by going to his car to get a special rare device for doing pencil rolls on hat brims. He was very knowledgeable and kind with a great sense of humor. My husband Neil was also very pleased at how precise of a job Lawrence did on his hat as well as mine. We will definitely be coming back to Cavender’s in the future for our hat repairs.
