This is where I bought my first pair of boots. They have an amazing selection and the most helpful workers ever! I described exactly what I wanted and she found it for me! I love that kind of service. But just like the rest of Houston I was trying to purchase them right before the rodeo but it still was not too crowded even with a local country radio station outside giving away tickets. I was determined to buy my first pair of cowboy boots in Texas. It sounded way more interesting and appropriate than purchasing them in the Bay Area. Enter Cavender's. My friend brought me here and I got pretty excited. Walls and rows of boots - in every size, color and design. How's a girl to decide? No matter how busy the store was during the HLS&R, the staff went out of their way to find and special order the hard to find sizes for my husband. Compared to CA and AZ, I found their prices on Wranglers to be great.
Cavender's is your typical western wear store, with locations throughout Houston. This location is, in my opinion, the best in terms of service and selection. They have a very good choice of boots, but if you're looking for western shirts, I've found they sometimes are lacking in variety. Don't buy Wranglers here; they're overpriced. They will also shape your hat for you. I prefer going to Sargent's out in Hockley for western clothing.
The shoe sales person was very helpful, I found a pair of boots that I like but they had an ink stain that wouldn't come out. The shoe salesman offer to give me 50% to purchased the boots. Was excited because I would use the savings to get boots repaired. When I got to the cashier, I told her I was given 50% for the boots and she said the best she could do for me was 10%. My wife purchased boots for my Christmas gift. I tried them on and the did not fit well. Cutting into my ankles. She tried to exchange them and they refused because she had purchased them more the 30 days prior to Christmas. I've spent alot of money at Cavender's over the years but that done. Christmas shopping at Cavender's is apparently not a good idea.
Horrible customer service, I asked around for an entire hour without a single person asking if I needed help. The one time I asked for help I was completely blown off.
cavenders is the worst place to order from! they cancelled my order a month ago and i never received my money back! they never answer their emails! i have sent many emails to the company and never received anything back! i just want my refund
