So far, so good! My Step-Dad transferred here from a retirement community as he needed that extra level of care. We like that there are 6 care levels and an RN does the assessment to determine which level is needed. That way you pay only for the extra services you need. And after 30 days, there will be another evaluation to determine if changes may be needed. He has been here just a week. Already he is loving the attention level. My loved one seems really happy here. They provide great service here, and for an affordable price. It's a nice looking, clean place, and it has a nice comfortable atmosphere. It feels more like a home, and not a hospital like some nursing homes do. The staff are all friendly, and they provide lots of activities to keep people out of bed and active.
My Mother has been at Morningside since just before Thanksgiving. The care there is very good with friendly staff. The facility is very clean and well furnished. You can make your room "your own" with your own furnishings and little touches. I would recommend Morningside to anyone looking for senior care.
They are always short staffed and training of the staff was poor. The food is ok and the apartment size is ok. I was not happy with the accommodations and service.

Had to submit paperwork several times. Sometimes takes a long time for the answering the call bells. Senior administrative staff says one thing, but staff working with the individual does something different.
There was a lot of turnover in management and recruiting, and with each change came different policies. When we moved her in, she had two full years of private pay. We specifically asked whether they allowed a Medicaid spend-down—meaning she could pay privately and then transition to Medicaid while remaining in the same room. We were only considering facilities that offered that option. We were told that transitioning to Medicaid would not be a problem and that they had done this for many residents. One or two were professional and concerned about the patients. Others not performing their positions to a standard. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. The people that are living there now are complaining.

The staff members at Charter Senior Living are wonderful, but when it comes to the meals those are not that great.
They are only friendly until you are in the door. I would not recommend them.
