Had my Lasik done here. Christine made me feel so comfortable. My vision is perfect now (it was absolutely HORRIBLE) Any questions or concerns I had I could email christine and she got back to me within an hour. So sweet and so helpful through a very nerve racking procedure.
I'm based out of NYC. That's where my family is, and that's where I was planning on having a $10,000 eye implant surgery a couple of months from now, despite living in the southwest. Here's the bottom line: they have a frontline of aggressively undertrained and just-don't-give-a-sh*t receptionists. Had a consultation at Chelsea Eye and Christine was so good I booked lasik the next week :). She was the friendliest and reassured me through every appointment and held my hand during surgery. At Chelsea Eye you will get extremely through testing done to see if you're a suitable candidate for lasik. I went through 2 days of multiple eye scans, tear film testing, and cornea thickness tests. I knew as soon as I met Christine that I wanted to get my LASIK done at Chelsea Eye. I had been to a few other offices and I didn't feel nearly as comfortable anywhere else as I did at Chelsea Eye. The office is clean, the staff is friendly and Dr. Coad is the best. A thank you message for Doctor Coad. I have been wearing glasses since I was eight - highly myopic, almost blind - plus.., astigmatism. Every doctor I went to told me I am not a candidate for Lasic - my retina is too thin, there is noting to slice off - I am destined to wear thick glasses for eternity. From the second I walked in Christine made me feel comfortable and eased all my concerns about the procedure. I had my LASIK procedure with Dr. Coad and Christine Von Becker on Sept 3. My recovery was super smooth and the next day I was walking around seeing 20/20. I had been wanting to do this procedure for YEARS, but was too afraid to try it. I was referred to Dr. Eviatar 5 years ago when I was working in NYC and looking for an experienced Botox specialist. Of course, as a new patient I was a bit nervous, but I was quickly assured after our first meeting.
