GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?! After 25 long years of wearing glasses and contact lenses (and seven years of being gently prodded by the doctors at Chelsea Eye to consider LASIK).... I FINALLY DID IT!!!!! Dr. Eviatar is truly amazing. I'm a woman in my late 40s and went because I was feeling like my face looked saggy and tired. He used injectable fillers on me, and I was terrified there would be bruising because I'd seen other people get terribly bruised by these procedures. In a word: Amazing. This review will be long because I have so much to say and I hope it helps others feel comfortable about paying for laser beams in their eyes. Had my Lasik done here. Christine made me feel so comfortable. My vision is perfect now (it was absolutely HORRIBLE) Any questions or concerns I had I could email christine and she got back to me within an hour. So sweet and so helpful through a very nerve racking procedure.
I'm based out of NYC. That's where my family is, and that's where I was planning on having a $10,000 eye implant surgery a couple of months from now, despite living in the southwest. Here's the bottom line: they have a frontline of aggressively undertrained and just-don't-give-a-sh*t receptionists. Had a consultation at Chelsea Eye and Christine was so good I booked lasik the next week :). She was the friendliest and reassured me through every appointment and held my hand during surgery. At Chelsea Eye you will get extremely through testing done to see if you're a suitable candidate for lasik. I went through 2 days of multiple eye scans, tear film testing, and cornea thickness tests.
