I've been to newer gyms with fancier equipment, but I honestly keep coming back to Chuze Fitness in Mandarin because of the people, especially Lav. Lav is hands down the best part of this gym. He knows just about everyone by name, remembers things you've told him, asks how your kids are doing, or how your vacation was. He genuinely cares about people, and you can tell it's not just part of the job. First of all, I travel and work out at Jim's all across the US and I've never met a more friendlier helpful staff at CHUZE fitness Mandarin location! From Gianna, Jade, LAV, Tim, Bruno, Brad, and all the new people they have hired! They always welcome you in when you enter the front door and when you leave! staff is friendly. atmosphere is good. But there's always something wrong for the longest. The AC didn't work and now the sun is broke and they don't know when they're ever going to fix it.

Love this gym! The staff is soooo friendly! They know us by name. The place is typically busy so best times to go are like 11-2 if you can but nighttime is a nightmare bc of the volume. The pace is really clean. The work out room upfront is the best too with a lot of equipment. The protein jars aren't too pricey either up front. I got a big jar for $19 once. Also Lauv is the best he's always so kind and helpful!
Good selection of machines and free weights. Clean. Friendly personnel. Attracts the serious workout crew, which is nice for support.
I really appreciate Bailys gym staying open albeit with limited hours during these trying times. They are following all CDC guidelines and being very prudent with cleaning. They are providing a great service in the mist of chaos.
Over all the gyms in the Jacksonville metro area, down to St Aug, Palatka and up to Brunswick GA, BAILEYS gives the best bang for your buck. They keep their gyms up to date, clean and well stocked and with the all-access membership, you can use most of their gyms 24/7! You get so much more 'gym' for your money than any of the other fitness centers around town.
