Certainly never recommend Chuze Fitness in Mandarin. I expected Chuze leadership to take decisive & quick action to clean up this facility & get new equipment, nothing has happened.

I went into the location and canceled my membership on 9/4. They charged me $76 to cancel and assured me that I was good to go... Today I received the below email stating that I still owe them $96. If my membership is not immediately canceled, without me paying another cent, I am going to seek legal action against this company. This is harassment at this point... What a joke of an establishment. I had this membership with Baileys under a 12-month contract that expired in November of 2023. I didn't use it much because I also have a membership at another gym. They continued billing me month-to-month until Feb 2025, when my debit card expired. Nobody contacted me to advise that my card was expired...they claim that they only contact via email and that mine was not on file. We can no longer deal with the homeless people lying on the couch and showering in the bathrooms in the gym. As a female paying for a gym membership and working out, but not feeling safe enough to walk in the bathroom by yourself not knowing if a homeless person might be in the bathroom with ill intent, I think this is the end for us. The quality and genre of the music needs to be improved, as well as the excessive volume. Most of us come to the gym to de-stress and enjoy workouts in an atmosphere that is conducive to a relaxed experience. Quite often, the music is far too loud, and is often pulsing, techno dance club or contains profanity. Members should not have to wear earbuds or noise-cancelling headphones to avoid this music. We are the ones who are your paying customers. We should not have to spend additional money because of this situation. ... read more

The music in this gym is terrible. They play very loud Techno style music with loud drum beats and bad singing, it gives me a headache. I have raised my concern with the site manager, Casey and I've asked politely to switch the music to more mild classic rock station, (or turn the volume down on this bad music.) Casey is generally unpleasant and not a good customer facing-person for Bailey's. I do not recommend this business. It is painful to try to workout with a headache with this loud music playing.

Typically our music volume starts at a lower setting during our non-peak hours, but as the gym becomes busier, the volume levels increase to compensate for the excess equipment noise. It's really sad; once upon a time, this used to be the best gym in Jacksonville. Their group fitness classes were top notch taught by experienced, knowledgeable instructors, who had the freedom to design their own classes and provide modifications based upon the needs of the individual students there that day. Classes had variety, spontaneity, flavour, and were truly genuine. If I could I'd give 0 stars. Horrible service, they give you wrong information and then they take more money than it was supposed to or send you to collections for things you didn't agreed to. And when you go to try to fix it with them, the only answer provided is "there is nothing we can do" THIEFS.
