Wonderful practice and amazing doctors. Overall, just an incredible place for kids' wellness (unless they're sick). Our regular check-ups have been great, doctors incredible, but during sick season this particular office comes off the rails. My biggest complaint, is for the Newport weekend (sick) office is the training/communication of front office staff, and sick visit policy. We have been going to Coastal Kids since my daughter was born almost 3 years now and I would give Coastal Kids 10 stars if I could. I can't say enough about the professionalism and kindness we have received from Dr. Abelowitz and his team. We have been to every office and been with different Drs. and Nurses, and we have received the best attention from all of them. The staff has been really kind and helpful with us. I switched my babies over from another pediatrician and they've been great! I even called the same day and was able to get an appointment. Insurance verification was quick too! They are a great team here :)
Love the staff and specially our Ped Dr. Sandra Pertz. She is a sweetheart and my baby Sarah loves her too! Thank you for clarifying my questions and to put a mom's heart at ease when I needed the most!
Overall I loved Coastal Kids. We loved most of the drs and nurses there and the front staff were really kind and helpful too. We were always able to get an appointment whether it be a well check we had forgotten to make an appointment for, or a same day sick appointment. I have recommended them to many other moms and wish we could have remained a patient there (we moved out of state). I love coastal kids, I've been to the Newport Beach location & our main location in Irvine. Dr. Kim is amazing & all the staff is very friendly. I've never had an issue with wait times, of course you are going to have to wait a little bit some days but nothing a little patience can't fix. My son Andrew had jaundice when he was born & had to come here very frequently to get his blood tested for his levels, but they took good care of him & answered any questions/concerns we had! Coastal Kids is our Pediatrician for almost 7 years. The doctors and staff are always friendly, caring and take their time listening and understanding. My son got his thumb squished in the car door. The swelling didn't go down over the weekend and also the bruising was spreading more, not to talk about the discomfort my child was going through. We went to the office on Sunday and they did a marvelous job of reducing the swelling. Best doctors and staff ever!!!!
Coastal Kids has continually provided us with the utmost care for our teenage daughters. The staff is friendly and professional and the Drs. take their time with each child. They are thorough and offer clear explanations to both us as parents and our girls. They are respectful and we have had nothing but positive experiences with the entire practice.
I love Coastal kids. My oldest is almost 4 and we have been coming here since she was 4 days old. They are a great team. Our doctor is Dr Abelowitz and he is fantastic but if the kids are sick and he's not around I am happy to see anyone in the practice. They are attentive and thorough...and super friendly. The front desk is attentive and friendly. There has been occasion of a little iffy billing but nothing the billing office wouldn't be happy to take a look at.
