It took over 8 months and 3 appointments to actually get a surgery date. The first time I waited over 2 hours to not even see him. Once I finally had a date, I was told there was no charge for the procedure, but when I came the date of surgery I was informed it was $350. I then got an abrasion on the eyeball and required a contact lens to protect the eye for a week. On followup appointment to have the lens removed I waited 2 hours, finally got into the exam room, waited 20 minutes and then had to leave for another appointmen... read more
Disgusted with this doctor. I was in to see him in early June, was given at best 5 minutes of his time and was promised a prompt follow-up. 3 Months later I have heard nothing despite repeated efforts on my part to request further information.
I had to travel 2 hours for my appt so I called before leaving to confirm time and they had moved my appt out one week and said I should have got a letter which I did not. Upon my visit It took 1.5 hours to see him. I was given about 5 minutes of his time when he did arrive. I found him arrogant so I will be looking further for another ophthamologist.
Dr. Conlon removed a catarat from my strong eye and replaced it with a Toric lens at my expense a couple of years ago. The operation was clean however the lens was put in the wrong position. I have researched whether or not it can be corrected but apparently it would be very risky for the sight on that eye and considering I can't see well with the other eye it isn't an option. I still have to wear glasses. I had to sign a waiver for him. I have since had my other catarat removed by someone else and it went extremely well.
Completely disgusted with this clinic. Staff should realize their conversations are louder than they think. Patients are people, and most of these patients are elderly, and as such, they require TIME to move, listen, process information. I don't think there is any reason for a 2+ hour wait time. Obviously his time is more valuable than the patient's. God-complex meets bad manners.
Second visit, trying to get attention to and explanation to a problem I had experienced after surgery. Two-hour wait in a packed waiting room, with people standing in the hallway, leaning against the walls, trying to be comfortable. A lot of elderly people with mobility problems having to stand for two or more hours! Brusque and indifferent treatment by assistants, followed up by the same from Dr. Conlon. I think I got 1 1/2 minutes all in all, and couldn't even express my concerns and talk about my post-operation experience... read more
Six visits. Each 3 hour waits for 3 minutes of his time. 28 to 30 people waiting in his office each day. Each with the same horror stories of his pathetic office management. Even the lady at the Impark booth says she gets 50 complaints a day from his patients. He may be good, but there are other great ophthalmologists in town who don't think they walk on water.
Dr. Conlin is a good surgeon, but I have had very negative experiences in his office, eg a 3-hour wait for THREE minutes in his inner sanctum!! I have an ongoing problem for which I have seen him 3 times in 18 months. And each time he has given a superficial diagnosis and as many useless instructions. The last time I was in his office, he just told me to wash my eyes - said "everybody does" when asked if that's a common thing to do!! Because I was hesitant to leave with that, he said, "That's it. We're done." My 3 minutes we... read more
Very disappointed in Dr C. Very pleased with his assistants and front desk. Conlon didn't warn about the side effects - i.e. total need for reading glasses. After the first eye had been treated , I almost cancelled the operation on the other eye because I thought all was well. Long distance vision through the operated eye was excellent - acuity the same in both eyes, but the non-operated eye had a faint screen which the operation had removed from the other. I could to read without glasse, presumably because the non-operated ... read more
