I have never written a bad review before, but this whole situation is ridiculous. Due to the death of my mother, we got caught up and were late on two separate payments, so Cornerstone requested that we pay our mortgage via cashier’s check for 3 consecutive months. We understood that, and complied. We also happily paid the late fees, because, well - we WERE late. Cornerstone has lost TWO of the three payments that were mailed in to the address they requested. February 2019 I purchased an Ashton Woods home. In order to get any of the promos I had to finance with the lender that Ashton Woods is owner or part owner of, Cornerstone Home Lending, Inc. Cornerstone calculated our escrow incorrectly. I called to find out how they could be $4,585.16 off. Who made the mistake? In this part of Texas people do not take care of Business! From the builder to the lender and even the title company! This one year experience has been very Disappointing!!!!!

This is by far the worst mortgage company in the history of mortgage companies. We over paid our escrow by almost $6,000 but we were on a forbearance do to Hurricane Harvey so they could not release the funds. Now they say that we never had an over payment on escrow. In addition, now my payment has increased by $700.00 a month because my escrow is short. we have called repeatedly requesting the loan financials but can't seem to get anyone to provide them and they just keep say they have sent them out.
