The community is a cottage stile, which makes it feel less institutional. There is also no carpeting, which helps prevent odors. The staff is good, however the nurse line was a little hard to reach some one with to check on our mother-in-law. They did a good job with caring for her during her short stay. The food looked fine. Brookdale did seem to be a good value especially considering the level of care that my mother-in-law needed.

So many friendly, smiling faces greeting you as you tour throughout the community. I like that they have taken a green initiative by adding solar panels to each of the cottages.
